Bärbel leaned forward on her mount as they soared to the east on light wings.

"Everything's handled back there," she called to the others as the two of them swooped down, her lance outstretched to bury itself into one of the skeletons that had menaced Sigurd. "We're back to join the front!"

S-4, Iron Lance Skeleton Warrior Sword C.

2
Two doppelgangers gone by her hand. She was satisfied with that, even if her own reflection hadn't come out to fight.

"That's that," Lavinia said, striking the broken mirror with the blunt end of her lance for good measure as she moved out.

K-6.

3
After watching Gawen and Ashlyn tangle with Vortai's duplicate, Lavinia hefted up her lance and advanced as well.

"Still room for one more strike."

G-4, Killer Lance Vortai?.

4
Bärbel gave Sasaki a slight nod before turning to Barry.

"So it wasn't him. Just a monster wearing the priest's face."

And they'd never have known if not for the gloating. She didn't know how she felt about that as she took back to the skies.

5
Ran hadn't been expecting that pronounced of an expression from Takeo, and she almost laughed. Almost. She couldn't, wouldn't forget that things weren't the same as they used to be.

"Oh, so is the super fancy process over?"

Not that she would get to see his dancing if the distraction worked like all of them had discussed, so she decided the best way to act uninterested was to go back to examining her nails.

6
"Pazin's priest... How can a man of faith turn traitor while those he calls his flock still hold out?"

"Words aren't enough if you only twist them like this." Diving down, Bärbel let her lance make the next retort.

G-4, Iron Lance Necromancer.

7
"Good," Lavinia said, eyeing the last wisps of mirror Marlow. She did seem a little amused at Claude's question, or at least her interpretation of it. "Heroic. Ready to fight mirror people."

"And you'll look far better than the imitation once we're through with them."

8
"Just caught a glimpse of you over there, Claude."

But Lavinia's attention quickly turned back towards Marlow's mirror image.

"Let's see just how consistently you can dodge."

Killer Lance Marlow? again.

9
Lavinia moved to block the doorway, glancing to the side for a brief moment.

"Mind if I stab you, Marlow?"

H-6, Killer Lance Marlow?.

10
"Someone from Pazin? It can't be."

Bärbel and her raven hung in the smoke-filled sky like a black omen before swooping down towards a fleeing guard, their forms becoming more recognizable as she reached out her hand for water.

"Quickly, a pail," she called, and then was back in the air. "First the fires, but I have to know who, and why."

G-2, extinguish fire on F-2.

11
"Almost thought they were trying something there."

G-6.

12
"Fine, wouldn't want to get blown up by some magic puzzle while you're having a talk," Lavinia said, leaning on her lance and otherwise inclined to agree with Gawen.

"But if it's a fight, we can handle it."

13
"We didn't come back completely empty-handed, if that's what you're wondering." Satoshi had to know since he'd been reading the group messages, so she was just saying this for Kousei's benefit now, she guessed?

Ran crossed her arms, glancing in Takeo's direction. It was probably rude to prompt him like this, but she was getting impatient.

"Weren't you excited to talk to Kousei about something?"

14
Light, to lay bare all secrets!

15
"I'm off," Nicoletta called, vanishing from the group almost as soon as they set foot into the market crowds. "Find me if you need me."

She didn't give a location, hardly knew where she intended to go herself as she weaved through the crowds and the unfamiliar shops, but sooner or later she found herself in a good spot. Dilma's Library, pretending to thumb through a tome she couldn't use, her eyes and ears more interested in whoever might visit the store than anything else.
