He stepped into the room.

Eighth floor, second door to the left, same fancy apartment building he had been at earlier.

He felt like shit, but emotionally instead of physically this time. Andras hadn't attacked them, but that just meant the tension he'd been feeling this whole time hadn't had a chance to release yet. He wanted to go talk to Kasuga but... what would he say even? Best to leave that to other people. He'd been hoping to get a chance to talk to the rest of the group, apologize and promise to be a better teammate from now on but... were they even actually a team? It was more like a scattered group of people who'd all been turned at the same time who kept bumping into each other.

Getting training from Mishima was the best thing he could do. Improve his own skills and be able to prevent Andras from being an issue the others had to deal with. Find information, discover the plan, and make sure no one else had to worry about it.

But first things first. Payment for services rendered.

He knocked on Kaname Mamiya's door.

"Shit!" Mori uttered. He was hoping that after the ordeal with Andras he'd come over to find the situation dealt with and they could all go home, but not like this.

He bit back a sharp reply to Akari, who was being extremely unhelpful. Focus Sawatari. Yagami is still an Akuma, we're still in a domain... Andras is still here.


"We need to deal with this later," he said, walking over to Honda and letting the silvery mist wash over her. "Momotaro, you grab the trash bag man. Gwer, an extra pair of eyes on Miss Shinomiya if you would, just in case. Pyrrha, Tsukuyomi, we need light. Everyone else, on guard. The other purple, masked shithead is still in here, and we can deal with everything once we're out."

You could perhaps forgive Jonathan for taking so long to react to the mess outside. After all, the shock he experienced inside the tavern was nothing compared to what he saw as he stepped out of it. Walking skeletons, living flames, magic floating eyes, and actual dark magic... it was a bit overstimulating, all at once.

Still, on seeing the others leap into action, his mind came to the decision to file that mess aside for now to be reviewed at another, calmer, time.

He ran over to Bernhard, seeing the man rather significantly injured by the... later.


"Be careful, man!" he scolded, as he pulled some bandages out of his pocket and worked to stem the bleeding, "Running off heroically sounds all well and good, but you're no use to your town as just another grave to mourn."

As his hand pressed against Bernhard, he suddenly felt a wave of nausea pass through him, and even as it lifted, his body felt... strangely heavy.

"...uh yeah, is there?" He said, looking at Mishima "I mean, I could say trying to talk Yagami down, but that didn't really work last time, so if there's nothing else, I feel kind of opposed to bringing her to an active battlefield, unless this area isn't that safe either."

"Oh objectively not, in spite of my best efforts. But eh, you'll get over it, right? Or Gawain will help fix you up?"


"Anyway, about revenge... well, I hate that I can say this with a straight face, but the voices in my head are right. No matter what my personal feelings are, if I want to at all say that I want to protect the people of Kaname-Cho, I need to stop letting my own issues and complexes stop me from being as effective as I can be in fighting off the real threats. If it hadn't been for you, I would be dead right now, at best. So... truce? Just for the time being, until Andras is dealt with and this whole situation is done."

Mori stared at the spot where Andras had been. He took a deep breath and unclenched his jaw.


"Two." he said, as he planted Kogarasu Maru in the sand, using it to help him pull Mishima to her feet, placing her arm over his shoulder. "That's the answer I decided."
