I noticed that there is very few videos showing how to do basic things in Dwarf Fortress by themselves,instead most videos encompass many things in each video which means new players have to trawl through alot of things before they find what they are looking to learn.This frustrated me alot,however dont get me wrong if not for those videos i would have given up,but i feel a simplified system might encourage new players.
So I decided to make a series of short,direct how to guides.
This is for new players,the very basic systems such as mining down,stockpile creation ect.I will expand this over the next few days,if you have any suggestions please let me know,but bare in mind this is a basics tutorial.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Notes to Urist Audio Log

Hello Folks
First off ,just registered here,though been reading the forum for a few years,only just getting a working fort up and running(with a ghost fisher dwarf who died on the first day).One of those games i always mean to start,having read the stories here,yet never had the the forbearance to stick at it very long.
However I decided to make an audio version of the "Note to Urist" Thread,consider it a public service tannoy for your local overseers.
