I'm building a drowning chamber but some debris got stuck in the floodgates. Is there a way to get it out or am I screwed?

I once embarked on a glacier biome. When I was irrigateing the room i was going to have my farm in a huge wall of water instantly flooded my fortress and drowned all my dorfs. That is how I learned about water pressure.

I just finished my pit area and cage hallway. Now all the goblins I catch will be thrown into lava. I'm trying to get rid of my need for surface wood by making a tree farm.
