How does multi-room designation work BTW?

When you open up the menu to designate bedrooms, click the "Multi" button. it's grayed out, but that means the mode isn't active (it opens into single designation), not that it's unavailable. You can then place the designation overlapping a whole bunch of rooms and it will automatically break them up by the existing walls, making each one it's own bedroom!

Depending on the anti-androgen you take (I'm thinking of spironolactone), you will begin to pee all the goddam time and it's so freaking annoying, especially when combined with general public restroom anxiety.

You will begin to study the mirror religiously while you await physical changes, and grow impatient while it appears that nothing is happening. Then suddenly it will feel like everything is changing all at once and it gets very exciting! And then years down the line you'll look at yourself now and at yourself when you thought you were experiencing a bunch of good changes and think "holy crap I thought that was great but I look so different now!"

Basically, what I'm saying is you will be impatient and it sucks, but it takes a lot of time for hormones to really kick in.

I know we don't have a thread for the 50.01 (Steam version) worldgen yet, but here's a seed I found with a 12-tile-wide river with a 6-tile-wide tributary, a waterfall where they meet, and a surface volcano! Of course doesn't work on 47.05

The Resources (names and neighbors will differ, I used a random civ seed and I don't know how to extract it from a save in the Steam version)

It's not a particularly impressive waterfall, just 5 z-levels high. But it's plenty to get you started!

Because Civilizations are still random, you may have someone settled on this location already, preventing you from embarking there. I had to regen twice before it was free for me to embark there.

I was (...) going to leave it a while before I decided to go for Steam (unlikely, bad historic experiences with them) or Itch (no experience at all, and not even a failed account with them).

With your bad Steam experiences, I definitely recommend going the Itch.io route. You also get a Steam key, but the primary benefit is that you get a DLC-free version (just a .zip file, packaged just like we're used to for the free releases), AND Toady and Zach get a higher percentage cut. I think it's something like 10% cut for itch.io vs 30% cut for Steam on Steam direct purchases, even tho the itch.io version also comes with a Steam key.
