Will Events that depict battles in carvings be biased at all? Like a leader that died pathetically to a Beak dog. Will be told to have died to a Beak dog protecting his friends from the evil demon lord?

So I was building a six story tall meeting hall with platforms and such being suspended above the meeting hall, While I was mining out the last bits my top miner fell down seven x stories, and miraculously survived with only a broken leg and a few cuts. Then he fell into a cage trap I had set there just in case any of the zombies I tricked into entering our catacombs got out. Finding my hidden entrance. Uh how do I get him out? I'm worried that wound of his will become infected, but the doctors refuse to treat him, and he qualifies as a prisoner, because after some tests only dwarves with feed patients/prisoner will feed him. How do I get him out, exactly?

 Nevermind silly me  ::)

I like the idea of miners just stumbling upon minerals that mutate them. Perhaps we can do this:
  • First looking at mutants should effect Dwarves mood, and maybe if the Dwarves seeing the mutant are especially faint hearted it effects them more?
  • Second Sometimes while mining Dwarves will find pockets of very valuable ore, that when found will show a message like "My my this metal has never been seen before! What secrets does it contain? (maybe add a description of said metal) The metal can also be found above ground in the form of meteors for adventure mode. will have a 60% chance of being mutated this means that this metal if mutated will mutate everyone who touches it (for forging spears etc.) will mutate them in 14 days (to make quarantine hard but not impossible). This metal might even be stronger than Adamantine. To make players risk forging that stuff.
So yeah those are my two ideas.

I like it, but what race would Take this new form? Preexisting races don't fit at all. Goblins don't work, as they already have that whole "green horde" vibe, and dwarfs, Kobolds, and obviously elves don't fit either. Maybe like dark elves?
