I've been playing this for a bit, holing up in Molebank right now.  Used to shelter in Edmund General, but it got taken down by zombies while I was idle.

Won't the limit stop pregnancies?
The population cap doesn't effect that.  There's a separate entry in the init file for managing births.

Feel for the edges of the door and open it.
Build a mirror from the remains of the chains.
You try to manipulate the molten metal, but only manage to gather it into one large mass on the floor.  Turning your attention to the door, you probe at it carefully.  You feel as if it is locked or barred somehow, but it should be no trouble removing it from your way.

Get off the ground!
Drawing yourself back from the ground, the whole world seams to violently heave for a moment, before everything goes black once.  Awareness persists, but you feel a shift..

You become aware of the cell you remember, but it is only clean-dressed white stone, and the molten remains of the four chains lie on the floor.  You can see a clear outline of where a door would swing inward across the room.

Break the tower!
Mentally shaking yourself to get rid of the fatigue, you drop onto the structure as fast as you can manage.  As you feel yourself strike it, the structure slowly oozes inward, as if trying to resist your attack, then suddenly shatters and blows apart.  You feel yourself flattening over the shattered remnants of the structure, and the figures seem to have vanished entirely.  The ground seems to be trembling.

Be prepared to break the tower if they act hostile, but otherwise keep watching
The creatures continue staring for a brief moment, then quickly snap into activity.  They all begin to gesture, and you feel a strange sensation of tiredness come over you, and the edges of your vision seem to be fading.  The sky flashes green, then white, before returning to normal.

Fly over the tower
Gliding over the structure, you suddenly feel as if you've passed through something, and all of the figures jerk and look upwards, staring directly at you.  They appear to have stopped their movements.

Back up a bit so you don't attract their attention, then fly up and examine the sky
Shifting backward until the structure seems a safe distance away, you draw yourself up into the air, seemingly effortlessly.  Gliding around, the sky itself seems to be slowly shifting between purple and red.  It flickers jarring green for a moment, before returning to normal.

Hey, we haven't tried to get a body since the beginning, so let's do that now.
Watching the creatures warily, you attempt to form a body, resembling their own.  Almost instantly, a discolored copy of one of them pops into existence, then vanishes.  While you felt you could control it in a sense, it still felt like nothing more then an extension of yourself.  The chanting continues, the figures seemingly unaware, and the sky flickers briefly.

Try to find an entrance to the building away from the creatures.
The building itself seems to consist of a very thin crystal, though it oddly distorts everything you see through it.  You see no visible entrance,  but it looks very fragile, and likely could be broken with ease, if not quietly.  The chanting reaches a lower pitch, and a faint chill settles into place.

Listen to the chanting, keep an eye on those creatures
The sound seems to be discordant and makes the feeling of unease return, though still very weakly.  You cannot discern any meaning in it, though the figures seem to be gesturing more violently now.

Rise into the air and survey the area.
Try to get close enough to see/hear the figures, but move stealthily!
You are struck by the urge to watch them from above, but the realization that these creatures may be hostile strikes you. Though you have no apparent form, it does not mean you cannot be seen.  Creeping closer to the structure, one of the figures appears to be gesturing with what could be called arms, though the creature itself only has a vaguely humanoid shape.  You can hear the faint sound of chanting from inside the structure.

Just keep moving forward  8)
Despite your unease, you continue moving forward, and see a large, crystalline structure on the horizon.  Creeping closer, the building looms into the sky, and several massive, foggy figures appear to be inside, though it is hard to tell what they are doing.  Oddly enough, the feelings of wrongness and nausea completely vanish, leaving you feeling almost...  Serene.

Go to the lands beyond the pillar
Moving past the pillar, you can see the discolored grasslands come closer as you move forward, and the sense of wrongness continues to build.  The grass itself seems to be turning a deep purple as you continue moving, and looking back, you can no longer see the pillar.  A familiar nausea seems to build in you.

Inspect your surroundings carefully. If nothing interesting presents itself, attempt to set the field on fire.
Looking around further, the grasslands themselves seem to be swaying slightly, and farther into the distance beyond the pillar, they seem to be slightly different in appearance.  The sense of wrongness returns more strongly, and the happy feeling seems somewhat dimmed as you continue looking.
