We need the ability to use the stock market. Invest and shit.

That would be conservative as hell, though.

Donate to charity/startups. Stock market use should be part of corporate.

No, but that's a good idea!

I was suggesting that there are other cops in other places to help you search for the perp. You have the manpower to hunt him in the forest. A horse sure ain't gonna help you. Cavalry aren't good in woods.
Cavalry no, mounted infantry yes. Greys Scouts of Rhodesia and Mujahideen of Afghanistan proved that back in the 1980's, then the Northern Alliance (Uzbek tribesmen, mostly) proved it again in 2001.

Theodore Kaczynski? Eric Rudolph? They both evaded massive levels of recourses and manpower thrown their way by the government, as do hundreds of thousands of dope farmers throughout the more impoverished and less built-up areas of America.

It's hard to describe the vastness of the American hinterlands our own cityslickers, let alone folks who've spent generations living in urbanized cultures. There are still rural communities in Wyoming and West Virginia that can't be reached by car in the winter, and I think there's places in South Georgia and Mississippi that don't yet have access to commercial telephones or electricity. If you want to find someone in a place like that,

GO TO NEW MEXICO, NORMAL MEXICO IS A SHITHOLE NEW MEXICO IS A GEOLOGICAL WONDERLAND WITH GREEN IN THE MOST INACESSIBLE AREAS.

Also, lawns should be involved in enviromentalism, if only because that shit kills plants that don't require four thousand dollars a year to take care of in your average suburb.

New bug (I think): After an apartment got raided (and all the people there killed), the location appears as one of my places, but constantly under siege. I can't enter, and there is no one left there (as everyone was killed during the siege).

That's not a new bug.

JSF has been trying(OR NOT) to kill that once and for all.

Curses / Re: New location idea: ROTC office
« on: May 18, 2009, 03:50:40 pm »
Had a thought whilst reading some related debate on a poliblog. If we have a military spending issue, it would be possible to add a site to affect it w/o inducing the headaches of an army/NG base. Add an ROTC office to the University District. Not only would this not entail balance issues in re: access to military hardware, attacking the ROTC is most definitely a stereotypical liberal activity. If we ever get to the point of having affiliated sleeper orgs, we could have them do protests and teach-ins, but until then it'd give the LCS a place to vandalize and kidnap suggestible Soldiers, Cadets, and College Students. Assuming, of course, their Liberalism isn't broken down the point of enlistment by the shouted slogans of the Arch-Conservative Recruitment Officers...

I demand the ability to indoctrinate JROTC members, then hit my head against the wall as none of them make the cut.

Mutiplayer 2-player game support over the Internet, with one person playing as Liberal and the other playing as Conservative, and the government and public opinion all starting out Moderate.

Multiplayer support that turns the game into a MMORPG (in 3D of course, with lots of sound effects). People could play as teams and complete quests to level up, or something like that, or it could be completely pointless like Second Life.

If JSF did either of these he would have cities in russia named after him.

Would you mind linking to this game?

Either where we can download it for free, or (ugh) a review on the game if it's not free.

Most reviews I've read say "URR TURN BASE SPACE SIM BAD, ME SMASH", they don't really mention the text adventures.

Basically, on each day you had to balance activities in a way that didn't get you killed, while contending with the dice gods.

Chernobyl was not an accident, Chernobyl was caused by an incompetant official who knew little to nothing about nuclear power telling trained people who should have known better to run their reactor unshielded as a "test".

Repeatedly.

Then physical imperfections happened and the concrete became lava and then the nuclear material sank through the earth.

Incidentally, isn't the Chernobyl reaction scheduled to hit the center of the earth in about twenty years?

I'm a little hazy on what a simulation of prison would look like.

Play Space Rangers 2.

COCKROACH RACES!

TATOOS!

POLICE BRUTALITY!

WRESTLING MATCHES!

PUMPING IRON!

GETTING SHANKED!

TEXT ADVENTURES AND ROGUELIKES COMBINE INTO ONE, IN SPACE RANGERS 2'S PRISON SEGMENTS!

Real dwarves don't use tools!

Real dwarves use spit, grime, and their own two hands.

I would rather have craftsmen who die come back to posess dorfs first.

And yeah, necromancers should be like mad scientists/junkers in Deadlands.

Ummm

Roguelike

Wind.

Castle.

Also, play Darklands, all of you, in this thread, ESPECIALLY YOU!

It's sort of a viking game.

Medieval Germany, really.

You will play Darklands, you will select virgin sacrifices to be sent to the dragon, brew some potions, and die because calomel and leeches are bad and doctors should feel bad.
