Since everybody has vastly different rigs you need to upload some reference saves in order to normalise the fps values.

I haven't played DF since 2010, but there used to be entrances to the cave system in monster lairs, and if you delved deep enough you found the funny structures with the special weapons and some stairs (don't know if this still exists, so this is some purposeful vagueness for spoilers).

The game has changed super much since then, is it still interesting to go down to the caves? How can you reach the caves? What are some cool new things to look out for in the caves?

Really? They work for me. It's a lot larger than the XML dump, however, so I'd like to find a better way (I thought someone had made an offline wiki viewer written in Python, but I can't seem to find it).

Thanks for the link, Wiki-Taxi does not work on macintosh computers but this does.

However it is a bit broken. Are there any other options for me to open the xml dump? Or a way to convert it to a .zim file?

Very thorough research and interesting to read, well done.

Something else that might be worth looking into is whether age plays a role in how fast dwarves begin romances.

Turns out that a hydra's greatest weakness in adventurer mode is getting stabbed, slashed, hacked and hammered at by 20 human recruits for about 100 rounds.
But boy, can they take a pounding.



And if you are a high level swordsman, you can go claim some heads!



I'm pretty sure we were in danger of drowning in all that blood...

Heh, I still play a 23 year old 40d fort that 112 pages of dead creatures (yes I just counted them). It runs at about 5-10 fps or so.
Still enjoyable for me, you are spoiled if you cant live below 20 fps.

Where are Ironbood, Urist, the other Urist etc. Instead of dwarves that have actual character the list mentions only flat, boring, overhyped ones like Morul and Cacame.
