Another important post to be read!

Ok, so now things start to get interesting. Each one of you needs to pm me some aspect of your character that you have remembered. Maybe it's your proffession, maybe it's some details of your wife, or what you used to do with your kids. You don't remember anything about where you came from or anything like that, just something that could apply to living anywhere.

Maybe you should bear in mind that I will be assigning you a skill based on this. So you might not want to remember that used to be a crossdresser (or maybe you do, I don't know).

Also, it would be nice if this revealed some aspect of your character (bad guy, good guy, kind guy etc) so it would be easier for me to flesh out the turns a bit.

EDIT: Also, this is totally private between me and the individual player. So if you want to tell me your character is serial killer, feel free, I won't tell anyone if you don't :P

Don't forget this!

Turn 4
Things are really starting to kick off now. TCM has the first brush with death of the game. For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow...

Craft another set of clothes from the rags. This thing is addictive.
[6] Hot damn! This is so much fun! You go about making a succession of wonderful pieces of clothing, each more excellent that the last. You craft a pile of essentially useless crap, like vanity wear. You also craft some underwear trousers and shirt for Sabana (you feel kinda bad about making fun of her earlier, even if she did probably deserve it). Even if she didn't want it at least it would make you feel better. Unfortunately in your excitement you use up all of the rags.

Disregard Angelo's glare and get some pants on.
[3] Although Angelo continues to glare at you for some time, you wouldn't know about it as you totally disregard him. You rummage through the piles of clothes and eventually find some white y-fronts. They're a little snug, but they will suffice. Certainly better than being on show.

Try to make a whip out of the rags, then see if I can get some glass stuck in it.*
[6-1 skilled work] Yeeeeees...yeeeees, you think. A brilliant weapon! Decorated with studs of glass! Of course. You map it all out in your head, you know exactly where everything should go. You turn towards the pile of rags to begin work, and...it's gone! *sigh* Well, there is more than just rags for fabric around here. Gathering together some clothes from the storage room, you piece together the whip part of the whip. Now to make it deadly...you select a lovely, long thin and brilliantly sharp piece of glass from the pile and push it through the end of the whip. Very nice. You have gained the skill weaponsmaking. You made a glass whip (+1 to damage rolls, on a bad roll the weapon will break due to being so unsturdy).

Hop into le hole!
[5] You hop into the hole with the grace of a lithe city cat. Neatly done. The others nod at your smooth arrival appreciatively.

Search for exit to clothes storage.
[6] The clotehs storage room is quite small so you quickly spot the door on the far side of the room. You consider leaving it at that and spend some time just standing around and waiting for the others to gather clothes and such. But you inevitably become bored so you walk over to the door and try the handle. Locked. LOCKED?! In a sudden rage you smash the door off it's hinges. [5] You feel a little worried that whoever owns this place might be annoyed at your wanton destruction of the door and the floor in the corridor above, but you listen and can hear no kind of reaction. So far it seems like this place is deserted apart from the six of you. Then you hear it, quite faint...

Run back to everyone, get clothing.
[2] You turn to head back to the others. You happily stretch your legs again and make it halfway down the corridor before you hear the buzzing sound. [5] With some kind of in-built instinct you throw yourself at the floor. Some kind of flying metal robot with a buzz saw attached to it's front and a blinking red light for an eye flies over you - if you had hairs on your head it would have shaven them right off! [1] It musn't have been expecting such an excellent reaction, as your neatly timed dive throws off it's targeting systems and it flies headlong into the wall. The machine twitches, almost like a living creature in it's last throes of life, and then the blinking red light goes out. However it doesn't seem to badly damaged on the outside. You think that maybe if someone had the skill and inclination they could rewire the thing. You can hear more buzzing [4] you now notice a small pipe in the ceiling. That is where the buzzing is coming from.

P.S Being a GM is harder work than I anticipated :P if you spot any mistakes in this turn please point them out and I will correct them asap.

Ah I see it now...reading through my second chapter I realise I do that a lot without even thinking about it. Thanks a lot again Alstar, you have been really a great help  :D

Hi again all :)
There was a quick question that I wanted to ask, it's regarding some of the criticism I recieved from Alstar which I was confused about.

So, I read through it - first off, before I get to anything deeper, you need to decide your point of view. We start off with a narrator, then we go into Antaeus's head, and stay there for about the first 3/4ths of the story, but after that we get little snatches of other character's thoughts wandering in. Either Antaeus is slightly telepathic, you need to better partition places where we switch to new points of view, or you need to remove the offending language.

Alstar could answer this question, or anyway, I don't mind.
It's just that I wrote my story in 3rd person so that I didn't have to stick to one person's point of view. I thought that was why people wrote in third person? (like first person for the detailed thoughts from one perspective, second person for instructions, and third person for jumping around different people's perspectives)
So I guess my question is, whether that logic is wrong. Should I be sticking to ones person's perspective at all times even in 3rd person?

Sorry Caelleth, I see your point as I reread that last turn. I will try to do less impromptu characterising. Sometimes I forget that I am not just writing for pleasure by myself, and that you all have your own ideas of what your characters are.

Although having said that I do not see that I have particularly made your character not seem like a reasonably good guy. Sure he does not point out that she has forgotten to make herself some useful clothing, but this is in response to her arrogance. I feel like it would be boring if I didn't do anything like that. If you disagree then please say so, and I will stop doing it.

Turn 3

Run down the corridor.
[5] You head down the corridor at top speed, which is actually very very fast. Maybe you used to be a sprinter or an athlete? If you even had a past... [2] You fail to notice anything as you run down the corridor, you are enjoying the feeling of stretching your legs far too much. Eventually you reach a door, and you stop. Wait for the others to catch up? Or go it alone? Decisions, decisions...

Make some clothes, hopefully with Theodores help.
[2-1 skilled work] You attempt to copy Theodores method for making clothes but just become agitated and end up tearing up a lot of the rags in frustration. Eventually you turn to Theodore to ask for help...

Help anyone who seems to want to craft clothing out of rags. If no one is found, then craft some clothing anyway.
[4] You turn to Daniel in mock exasperation and berate him a little for his futile attempts to copy your style. You feel a little pressured now to make some good clothes. You can't do much worse than he did though right? You take most of the rest of the rags and manage to turn them into a useable set of clothes, but they aren't quite as fetching as the first set you made. 1 pair of rag high boots, 1 pair of rag short shorts (a little revealing, but not as revealing as being bollock-naked), 1 rag top hat.
"Why did you make me a top hat and no shirt?" he asks.
"Because. Just because." You say and walk away.

Put trousers, socks, shoes, t-shirt and a hoody.
[5] Rifling through the various assortments of clothing you find plenty of nice stuff, and a lot of pretty strange stuff. What could they possibly need a bunny costume for? You find exactly what you were looking for, trousers, socks, shoes, t-shirt and a hoody. That nasty chill on your bits is gone now. It's a start.

Try to make something fromthe rags. Maybe also get help from Theodore.
[2-1] This is easy! You confidently take the rest of the rags and set about turning them into an excellent set of clothes. You far exceed the measly attempt of that idiot Theodore...You laugh condescendingly as you work, you even begin to lecture the bemused Theodore, who seems about to point out something to you, but stops himself short as you say to him,
"Really, I don't see how you could settle for pathetic clothes like those you are wearing. Quite poor compared to these wonderful garments..." You trail off as you realise something. You've successfully made a fabulous pair of sandals and a truly awe-inspiring scarf, patched together from an assortment of ten different colours. That's all you have made. No trousers, no shirt. Not even underwear. Your scarf is just long enough to dangle down and cover most of your areas. Theodore laughs mockingly at you.

Jump down the hole in the floor, trying not to land on Angelo.
[1] As you peer into the hole trying to judge where Angelo is, you trip over your big clumsy feet and fall straight down into the hole. Something softish breaks your fall. You close your eyes and pray that it is a pile of clothes and not what you think it is. You look down to see Angelo's angry face glaring up at you. You get up off of him quickly and check to see if you have caused him any damage... [5] He's perfectly fine, if a little peeved off.

Great! Alstar that's exactly what I needed, a huge help.
I'm gonna go through my second chapter tomorrow and see if I can tidy up the sorts of mistakes you pointed out in the first chapter. Hopefully when I upload it, it won't have any mistakes, or atleast different mistakes :P

I would just like to take the time now to say how much I appreciate anybody who has criticized my work, particularly Alstar for your in depth analysis. Great stuff!  :D

Of course. Now I've changed it  :)
The reason I was confused was that while I was checking back to when you all posted your character sheets, Caelleth you quoted TCM's character sheet. I mistakenly thought this was yours. Sorry about that :(

I think that next time I post a turn I will make sure it is not too late for my brain to function effectively...

Thanks, changed it. Ok, now I need sleep...
((Still didn't.))

Sorry, I definitely changed something last night, but apparently it wasn't the mistake. If you could just quote where I have gone wrong it would save me going through everything I have written trying to find it. Will update statuses now.
