DF Gameplay Questions / Re: One-Tile Meeting Zones: Super-Effective!

I kept getting dead dwarf babies in the drain and couldn't figure out why until I realized the rushing water was knocking infants loose from their mothers, down the ramps, and slamming them into the ground below. Then babies can't learn swimming so they'd drown.

It's times when I read things like this that I realise:

Dorf Fortress really is the best game ever made.

That was... quite the epic scenario. Strange that he still was considered friendly while destroying all your buildings.

Really nifty tool you got here. Ran into a few problems though;

I can't choose humans or anything else than dwarves as soldiers or as nobles. Can't see them in any menu either, which makes it a bit difficult to manage. Not sure if this is an error on my side, maybe not yet supported by this tool.
Also, can't you choose to make certain pets available during the embark screen? Shit would be hilarious if I could buy a dragon or two at launch. Nevermind this. The search function is equally as nifty as this pearl.

Try to disable BLACK_SPACE in init.txt

Well, that didn't do much.

Here's a pic to show what I mean:

In the DFfolder\data\init folder, there is a text fil called init.txt. In that there is a bunch of graphics settings, which can be tinkered with to give the desired sizes. I won't go into detail on how to do it, but if you look on the DF wiki (I would suggest searching for tilesets and going from there), you should be able to find directions.

That's the total size of the screen. What I mean is the little screen where you actually get to see things, not the black colour that is around it.  :)

Will I eventually get a new expedition leader/will the dorfs elect a mayor as normal/am I doomed?

If I remember correctly, they will appoint a new leader soon enough.

Got a question; How do I make the playing screen bigger? I can't zoom out, and it feels stupid playing with 70% of the screen being black.
