My Fort has recovered slightly from the mass slaughter that took place there. All 50+ dwarves are buried and the next ambush (3 at once) was succesfully repelled.

I have successfully created a path to my fortress that can be trapped. Problem is that the traps and troops weren't ready when the goblins followed the path with no traps straight into my fort went from 65 Dwarves to 17 (2 are in hospital) so now we start the FUN

Started a new fort on a volcano, and dug out a some tunnels to start my metal industry up. I used my miner to carve a fortification to release the magma and he died. so Had 6 Dwarves and no picks FUN. managed to make another one with the 4 bits of hematite he managed to find before he died so im back up and mining but was looking like a long wait for a caravan

Finally got a Fortress with over a Hundred dwarves, and have successfully beaten off an invasion. with only a few serious injuries. need to start looking at getting some magma as i have deforested my map for fuel. Really like the way the medical stuff is working better

Thought i would build a pit to try and throw gobbo's down i mis calculated and my 3 legendary miners fell down the pit instead. the are recovering in the hospital but i doubt they will dig again. I am impressed with how well the hospitals are working.  Also i have been slack and started building defences to late and a goblin ambush has arrived. will be interesting to see if i survive. if not at least i had FUN....
