Here's the main courtyard. Oh, there's NotPete, hey NotPete!  He's being chased by Iden the Engraver's vengeful ghost through the rapidly flooding courtyard of rotting corpses, vomit, and deadly poison.  Yeah, Dariush started flooding it ten minutes ago, just before he, uh, quit.  Maybe we should get out of here and go look for that shutoff lever, huh?  I could actually use the help because there's like seventy five fucking levers in this fort, ha ha ha!  Heh.

Seriously though, let's get the fuck out of here, we're totally about to drown. See you, Pete!  See you, Iden's vengeful ghost!
Don't leave me here! Its damp and lonely. I tried talking to the ghost, but he's all like "I'm gonna eat your immortal soul!!" and stuff. Also, the corpses are starting to freak me out....

Welp, the confidence I had in my ability to properly communicate my thoughts in English takes another hit.
I didn't read it thoroughly, and skimmed it the first time. I fault my comprehension ability.

'Tis the wording of your response. For some reason, when Kogut, and I, first saw it, we read it as you needing more concrete facts (or a more concrete fact) in order to agree. I read it about 3 more times before I realized it meant the exact opposite of that  :-[

I'm still stuck on that lever with the "Don't Pull" sign on it. I know it floods the world with magma and deletes the whole DF file, but It just looks so pull-able!

You can play old forts on new updates, usually. All you need to do is copy the save over from the old version to the new one. You would not have any of the new necromancers/werewolves/cities/everythingelse, because they wouldn't exist in that world. To get all the new features, you'll have to make a new world, hence a new fort.

Requests for inspiration?
"The forgotten beast Cerol Inajkorris has arrived! A huge hairy ASS with 3 heads. Beware its deadly blood!"
Well... Talk about ugly. I just got this in game, minus a couple of stuff I Didn't bother to copy down.

Three-headed donkey doesn't seem to be terrifying...
No, but the deadly blood is. The cause of many terrible and deathly epidemics. Also: butt.

While I would call myself a Simulationist, I do get bored when I don't have some kind of goal to strive for or something like that. If just survival is the goal, as it is in DF (barring, of course, self imposed challenges), I at least want it to have it be a challenge to survive. I often quit forts when they have reached a plateau, and there is no significant chance of the fort failing.

Well this is just sweet.
Someone should upload this onto the DF wiki.
I second this.

Maybe just sealing it off would be the best. Perhaps with a bridge instead of just a solid wall, so you could open it later.

Also, this place would be great to visit later, as an adventurer.  :)
