Kind of tangentially related to all of the AI stuff up above: I never play AI, though my friend who plays it frequently has told me that as an AI he has been asked to uncuff people, move objects around (such as chairs and lockers), and generally do the impossible. To top this off these occurrences happened multiple times in different rounds.

Not too related, but I got a chuckle off of the story. I've been in rounds with him when impossible requests happened as well.

Team Fortress 2 and then the THQ Humble Bundle, mainly for Company of Heroes and all of its expansions for around $6.

This game is amazing. It's a shame that any time I go near a planet the game drops down to 3 FPS and becomes unplayable.

I had only one robot left in my fighting force besides the commander, so I called in one more with the last of my resources. The transport rocket came down, but it tipped over, so I decided to attempt to manually fix it. The only thing I managed to do, however, was flip it over to crush my remaining troop and then have it promptly blow up and destroy my commander.

Err, I noticed in the OP that there is a list of League players from Bay 12. Could I be added to that list, please?

My league name is Llebac and I play on the NA server.

General Discussion / Any airsoft enthusiasts here?
« on: January 30, 2013, 11:32:35 pm »
Exactly what it says on the tin.

Does grand ol' Bay 12 have any airsoft enthusiasts that like to get out on fields or maybe even join milsim games, or at least plays regularly with his/her friends? My curiosity has gotten the better of me.

For those that don't know what airsoft is: Think of paintball, but instead of paintballs and paintball guns, the players use replicas of actual firearms that fire 6mm plastic ball bullets. The whole thing can be a tad bit expensive to invest into, but I feel that it pays off after a few visits to a local airsoft field.

For a more visual explanation, there is a very good youtube channel that offers many airsoft videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/scoutthedoggie.

Other Games / Boardgame Online - Give the Other Players STDs!
« on: December 19, 2012, 02:07:19 am »
Exactly what it says on the tin. It's a very weird multiplayer game that requires no account or any sort of dedication. At the least, it's a time killer. At most, it's a very strange and fun game involving hookers, giving the other players STDs, and time-travel condoms. I play it now and then with internet friends; I figured I'd just let bay 12 know about it just in case you all want to give it a shot.

EDIT
Description from the site itself: Question: What kind of game is this?
Answer: BG Online is a board game. Online. Without a board, really. But on a website. Seriously though, it is! Just like all your classic board games you play this game with a bunch of other people and the first to cross the finish line wins! With the addition of hookers and brutal murders, of course.

General Discussion / Re: A bay12 lower boards IRC.

Well all right, and IRC. All DRAMA and such notwithstanding, I'm pretty fond of IRC.

I use Pidgin for my client, it's pretty good.

I'll probably be going to a kickoff at a Denny's near me on the 31st. I'm hoping to imbibe a large amount of coffee and get some good work done on the novel.

Ah yes, NaNoWriMo, I recall hearing about this. I actually finished my screenplay for script frenzy in April, and I had planned to do this. I'm glad to see a thread and chat pop up so early.

Just got reminded of Katawa Shojou by the way of a random note I had laying around. Looks like I'll finally be getting into the visual novel scene now. I've also heard that the thing can really give some major feels; I'm getting rather excited.

13
Possibly getting some more free time on my hands, in which case I can come around here and actually have time to come here, read, and post.

Possibly.

Good to see this game is still going kinda.

Giant cookies and Homestuck merch, including horns and a print. Today's a pretty good day.
