Eh? How is it $25? I have it on Steam and it clearly says 4,99... also the latest announcement is from a couple months ago. Are we talking about the same game here? I'd suggest you add links to the OP.

He is probably talking about the Universe Sandbox²: http://universesandbox.com/

I've made a binary package for Windows and even included installation instructions in readme.
See https://github.com/mifki/df-webfort/releases
Hope it works.

Thank you! It's working perfectly. You're awesome  :D

Not sure what happened to the eagle. My theory is that it got hit by the big trees my lil' dorfs were cutting.

Mount & Blade Collection

And I was only able to afford it because I sold all the cards that I had on my inventory. Unfortunately I only get paid on the 30th, when the summer sale ends. Well, now I only have to wait for the x-mas sales  :'(

Is it just me, or does the dffd link give a 552 error, dropbox is overloaded, and the magnet links to r57?

The name of the magnet may be r57, but the file name is r59. Just downloaded it here and I'll be seeding with the little upload that I have  :P

Anyone here tested this already? As soon as I get home I'm gonna test and see how much better the game looks with this, but from what I've seen, it really looks like what was shown at E3.

Found those videos on Reddit:

PTW.

This looks really awesome, great work! One of the features that I missed the most from dfterm was the tileset stuff(I like to play with the Jolly Bastion tileset) and you managed to create a program that is able to use tilesets, probably by using some kind of witchcraft or by sacrificing people in the name of Armok. And you are the same person who made the Text Will Be Text plugin. You can't be human.

Well, all those extra things for The Witcher 3 that GOG is offering are awesome, but unfortunately I'm gonna have to buy it from Steam, since I don't have an international credit card.

I hope one day they, like Steam(and Origin I guess), support payments made from Brazil without an international credit card, but until then I won't be able to buy anything from them :'(

Well, 2015 is gonna be a great year for games: The Witcher 3, Daylight, Monster Hunter 4....

DF General Discussion / Re: DF2014: Day One predictions
« on: April 11, 2014, 09:31:14 am »
Anything could happen. The earth has never experienced something on this momentous scale before. A time-space anomaly could suddenly appear and future beings could hand us DF5014 instead, or a fluffy wambler could reveal itself to mankind as the messiah and lead mankind to enlightenment, or the average DF player could become a virile sex symbol and be chased by crowds of the opposite sex down the streets. The awesomeness of the new release could start a resonance cascade on a subatomic level that blasts half of the planet into outer space. There's simply no way to predict the looming impact that DF2014 will make in propelling mankind beyond its former limits on the axes of the social, the ecological, or the theological.

Well, that sounds reasonable enough...

It's even possible that people from the lower boards might post in the upper boards once or twice.
Now THAT sounds too absurd, sorry.

@topic

Well, I know what's gonna happen to me when DF2014 is released: I'm gonna dedicate my entire gaming time to only 2 games for a long time: Dwarf Fortress and Dark Souls II. Probably gonna go crazy at sometime too. It's gonna be FUN in so many levels  :D

I never understood the story.  Gameplay was fun though so I might pick it up when it goes on cheap.

It originally started out with the possibility that you are going through withdraw fueled psychotic episodes with the lights and music meant to put you in a similar state.

And it ends with... -_-

I actually liked the ending(the true one, when you use the password on the computer and everything).

Sure, it wasn't an ending worth an Oscar or something, but it was good :P

This second game is taking a long time to be released, but this new trailer makes me think it will be worth it. The gameplay seems much more fluid, and dual wielding + rolling looks awesome!

"It's great on PC, so long as you use an Xbox controller, use this mod to be able to actually play online, and can be patient with GFWL."

You're describing my experience with PS3 right out of the box, but taking a lot more effort, and still only getting roughly half the FPS (I have no idea why the PC port seems to be hobbled visually).

Well, *I* don't think it takes that much of an effort to put those mods(they are quite easy to install and everything). And I don't know what you are talking about the FPS, I actually hear the opposite(people saying that blighttown lags as hell and everything on console, and on PC I didn't find it bad at all). And if you want you can actually unlock and play it at 60FPS on PC as well.

And we have to remember that the only reason that Dark Souls came to PC was because *we* asked a lot for it, making petitions and everything. Sure, that's not an excuse to make a not-so-well-done port, but it at least made them see that there is a market for Dark Souls on PC, and now we are even getting Dark Souls 2 on PC as well(even if is only one month later, sigh) with some improvements over the console version!
