Morrowsims 3 (Morrowind + Sims 3)

Essentially The Sims set in Morrowind. I would absolutely buy that game.

So far I'm really loving this game. The setting is extremely interesting - I really enjoy the detailed descriptions and the lore of the world. Gameplay is super fun as well.  I haven't really encountered any bugs - I haven't made it very far though either. Horrible giant grizzlies keep eating my face before I can make real progress. :P

I have to say that I like the ASCII mode far more than tiles... which is odd because I usually like my tiles. It just seems too busy and grainy with them on. Do you plan on adding mod , or custom tileset support in the future?

In other news I just bought Gamma World thanks to this game. Can't wait to try that out too!

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is it possible to get this on Steam yet?  Can't seem to find it by searching..

OK, having a little problem. I've tried connecting, but I can't. No clear reason why. I THINK it may be a version mismatch, though.

However, you said you're using version 1.01. I can find 1.0.0, 1.0.11 and such, but there's no 1.01 in the launcher.

Sorry, forgot to check this thread for a while there. :\ The version you want is DireWolf20 for 1.7.10, version 1.01. It should be right at the top of the 'FTB Modpacks' tab in the launcher.

Whitelisted - welcome aboard!

Yes it does include enderquarries. I'm fine with those on the overworld (label the area though so nobody tries a futile mining there, lol) I mainly made that rule for the more destructive quarries - computercraft quarry programs, buildcraft, etc.

I'd love to come check it out! Probably next weekend.

Ucarty

Whiteliested.

So, i logged in for a bit, said hi, looked around, wandered off.
THe village, what's its structure? rules on mining? what of me getting brothers whitelisted, possible?
Other questions, um.. i forget, heh, but i'll have more later i bet

I'd be happy to whitelist your brothers. Rules are not very hardcore on this server, mine wherever you  like - with the exception of quarries, which should go in the digger age. Feel free to build wherever you like too. Currently there are a few people living in the village and many more living all over the place. There is Mystcraft stuff with a link modifier available to make intra linking books as well.

Also whitelisted :)

You're whitelisted. There's lots of neat biomes right around spawn so I'm sure you'll find a cool spot easily!

Whitelisted!

I have decided to create a community server based on the Direwolf 20 FeedtheBeast modpack , and I can't imagine a more amazing (and eccentric) community to share it with.  :D

To play you will need to download the Direwolf 20 pack from the FeedtheBeast launcher - version 1.01. If you find 1.7.10 to be a little laggy I suggest trying out the FastCraft mod - it can make a big difference. I'm happy to help if you have issues installing anything.

Installed mods:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Rules are simple: no griefing, raiding, stealing, or unwanted player-killing. Don't be a dick. Quarries go in the digger age only. No creating new Mystcraft ages due to the lag this creates - if there's a specific type of age you need I'll see what I can do.

We have a small starting village underway, but you can build anywhere you like. Ideally I'd like to have some really nifty, well-built little towns going. The server is on survival mode, hard difficulty.

The server is whitelisted - just reply with your in-game name here and I will add you. The IP is s40.hosthorde.com:25840

If you're new to heavily modded Minecraft and feeling overwhelmed, you can always check out Direwolf20's Let's Play videos - he's still on episode 1 with this pack, but he is always informative. There are usually tons of video tutorials out there and the FTB Wiki is a great resource.

Hope to see you in game!

EDIT: Removed the additional mods - you can play with just the latest DW20 pack now.

I've only been able to play for about an hour today but it was very entertaining. I watched with horror and amusement as my colonists shot down a fish person and made him into fish steaks, which were promptly devoured raw by a starving soldier (still working on the whole hunger situation..). My colonists also seem to have a taste for exotic fish person caviar. :P

Is there currently a way to cancel muster or explore orders?

So, is India still lame as hell and filled with rebels? Haven't played in a while.

I think I must have started on RoI after the bugs were fixed, because I haven't noticed very many rebellions in India during my playthrough. There have been a few easily crushed peasant revolts but nothing major. So far I'm really enjoying my stint as the glorious Maharajah of Maharastra (sp?). Playing vanilla ironman.

I'd love to give it a try if anyone has guest passes still. Been burned enough times with MMOs to want to try this one before taking the plunge and buying it. >.>

no quest markers at all (but doesn't really work too well in Skyrim sadly)
By Sithis, I know exactly what you mean. I used the Skyrim Compass Tuner to get rid of the compass and markers (including the player marker on the map) and it almost brought it down to Morrowind levels. I say almost because it really only removed the graphical components and so I can still technically get a decent estimate of my and my quest target's whereabouts. Of course, when there are no quest markers or when said quest marker is inside a big "cave" (really, it's a new worldspace like say the Soul Cairn) then it goes to Morrowind levels.

This mod is great for questing without the compass and quest markers. It also doesn't break immersion or make things too easy in my experience.
