For those having trouble with weird sorting, it might help to click the top-left blank space in the chart; sometimes the information will not start out properly sorted, but if you re-sort it seems to come good.

I have noticed this behaviour with migration wave, happiness, and legendary status and each time clicking that box put things in a more logical order.

DF Bug Reports / Re: Notes on Bug Reporting
« on: June 30, 2012, 10:30:22 pm »
Should we only report bugs if we are using vanilla dwarf fortress?

Obviously if I was changing the raws beyond recognition or modding a lot of stuff and noticing strange behaviour I should not report that because it's likely due to poor programming/whatever.

But would something like a graphics pack, dwarf therapist or modification of the init values (toggle weather, temperature etc.) change things enough to prevent me from filing a trustworthy bug report? Are there any guidelines on this?

I have noticed that if you assign a new manager after creating a jobs list they won't do anything about managing them until you add another instruction to it.

Nothing unusual as far as I can tell. I'm using the plain iron sword I started with, I'm wearing mostly bronze and some iron armor and a bronze shield. Occasionally I have been holding stuff in my hand because I forgot to drop/store it. But no chisel. I picked up a nickel silver ladle a while ago but it's been sitting in my inventory. No other tools.

I haven't been doing anything crazy, mostly just beating up baddies. I use the A menu mostly - and mostly weapon fighting with some wrestling too.

The only interactions I've been doing have been to fill up my waterskin at a well and once to remove an arrow.

I'm pretty new to adventurer mode but as far as I know I haven't been doing anything weird. I'll keep an eye on the skill level and see if I can figure it out. It's currently at dabbling (113/500).

No mods.

Also, I've ruled out splatting on the ground at high velocity as the cause; my skill has gone up a little more. Maybe I'm engraving my enemies as I fight them? Y'know, Zorro-style.

So I've been exploring dungeons and successfully not-dying for a little while now. I just resurfaced after almost dying from a mortal wound and I found that I've gained some skill in engraving (73/500). Has anyone else had this? It's hard to get information on non-starting skills for adventure mode from the wiki :(

I can tell you that I didn't engrave anything, but maybe while being thrown down a several z-level pit the floor ended up with a life-sized engraving of an adventurer? That's about all I can think of ;)
