Persuading goblins to invade on the full moon can be tricky.

Came expecting awesome, got a laugh instead. Thanks guys.

Well this is a a situation I've never been in before.
I've offended my own Pony race with my trade offer.  Prepared Hen Egg Meals are fine to trade in a barrel but if you try to trade them as loose items the trader will belittle your "primitive race", mourn the "poor creature" and storm off in a huff.

I wonder, could there be long-term repercussions for offending your own race in this (very silly) manner?

Golden silk is something that vanilla DF ought to have had by now.

It's just too cool to pass up.  http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/09/spider-silk/

Hah!
Somehow managed to still get an embark without any Flax available and couldn't rush any clothes, all my ponies went berserk in the first year.
This is what happens when you expose your ponies to fan art. NO SOCKS, NO SWEATERS, NO WORK!

Gonna re-embark and rush a dining hall, we'll see if the power of fancy dining can overcome their nude despair.

Anyway, is the new desire for clothing something that can be modded out?  I'm under the impression that it's hardcoded into vanilla but if not, removing it altogether would seem like the most show-accurate solution.

I am so in love with this.
I've already begun reacquainting myself with token definitions in anticipation.

@Dei
I'm not aware of any disadvantages beyond it being fairly unponylike. Sort of goes against the spirit of the thing but who am I to say your ponies aren't special ;).

As for the alicorn issue, it's been a problem with flying "dwarves" in fort mode since flying "dwarves" in fort mode were a thing.
The easiest solution is to simply make sure every rooftop is in some way accessible via staircase/ramp.
I tend to build in the style of an old castle-town, with most of the rooftops connected, so only a handful of scattered ramps are needed to ensure my roof workers and derptastic fliers can get up and down.

Alright, so I've given in and generated several larger, more highly populated worlds and I still can not seem to generate a pony civ with access to wheat. Flax also seems to be much rarer than initially believed, it's absent far more often than present.

There is no Wheat entry in the "plant_pony" raw and the FREQUENCY token on Flax is only set to 10.

Still at it with no luck. Even allowing my civs to expand across most of the map it seems it's just incredibly hard to get wheat (and to a lesser extent, flax) on Small - Pocket sized maps.
An interesting side discovery is that a lot of smaller worlds run for Short or Medium (I imagine it's the case with longer ones as well) histories result in complete Griffon domination/eradication of the other races.

Sounds like some cool stuff, especially the dyes.  Can DF support the glazing of construction materials?

As for the wheat, I guess I'll just have to keep trying worlds until it works. I unfortunately prefer worlds on the smaller end of the spectrum with short histories and few sites.

It doesn't explain what the sawmill actually does.
The readme also got me very interested in a Wheat industry but none of my civs in any of my worlds seem to offer it on embark.
Is it implemented? If so, how do I obtain it?

Edit: I was going to mention the missing strawberries but I supposed those aren't really different from their vanilla counterpart. Their brew just has a different name, correct?

If this already exists somewhere and I'm not finding it, feel free to scold me, I know a lot of this is based on another DF Pony project.

It would be nice to have a readme file or something that elaborates on some of the features that differ from vanilla DF.
What the various plants can be used for, the function of some of the special buildings, etc.
I know most of that can be discovered by probing the raws and sifting through the (many) pages of the original mod's thread but it would certainly be a nice time and energy saver.

When selecting "Prepare Carefully" I began with many Silk Rose products worth 250 a piece in my loadout.
Removing some of these items for 250 each left me with an enormous point pool to work with.

Oh, by the way.
This version you dropboxed...I assume it's some sort of debug version?

I decided to just use it and noticed some interesting perks were available on embark.
Every pony in my fort is also female but I'm chalking that up to an intentional pony gender-bias.

That one does seem to work just fine, I genned several worlds up to 250 years.

I'd run them further but the time it takes gets pretty terrible above that setting.  This laptop isn't much to work with.
