I was playing around with squad uniforms, figuring out how to get all my epic combat dwarfs to wear chainmail under their breastplates and leggings under their greaves. I send them out to kill an uninvited guest and they proceed to attack it with their fists and shields. And it starts killing some of them. Then all of them. Apparently uniforms include weapons...

This happened to me. I got a King Vampire and a King Consort Necromancer. Likewise, I thought Badass. Then the necromancer started walking around reanimating all the Giant Wren skeletons around my fort. I scrambled the military and killed a few, but she'd already reanimated a few more as well as an Ettin. I included the newly recruited King Vampire in a squad and sent them out. While they were targeting one of the Giant Wrens near the necromancer, the vamp peeled off and started attacking her. His wife. He killed her in 3 blows, then was really depressed that his wife had died.
On a related note, he ended up being killed by a Giant Tick. The rest of my military killed it before I could see a vampiric giant tick, unfortunately.
