DF Gameplay Questions / Re: Object Tilesets and Filthy, Filthy Hoo-mans
« on: October 23, 2007, 03:24:00 pm »
Well, I'm not using the easy pack, I'm trying to get the DeepQantas set to work. Still using Herrbdog's 16x16 font set, though. And it looks like it's working just fine. Only... everyone is human.

And oddly enough, I just generated a new world and my li'l dwarves are back in action. The Machine Spirits must be pleased.

DF Gameplay Questions / Object Tilesets and Filthy, Filthy Hoo-mans
« on: October 23, 2007, 11:48:00 am »
It seems like every time I use an object tileset it turns every fortress I create from then on out into humans. That would be great if the game were Human Fortress, but it's not! Can anyone help me out?

DF Suggestions / Adventure Mode: Oh my god where are the dwarves
« on: October 30, 2007, 04:21:00 pm »
As the title suggests, in adventure mode it's hugely time-consuming to find dwarves in their fortresses, which seem to consist of 99% empty rooms and corridors stretched over multiple levels. Can anything be done about this?

I would love to see something like this so I don't have to a) babysit all the way through a vein or b) strip-mine a huge area where I think the vein'll be.

DF Suggestions / Dwarves Stay Inside.... Underground?
« on: November 03, 2007, 10:15:00 pm »
Well, since I like building fortresses above my immense dwarven warrens, I'd like the option for dwarves to stay indoors, but not underground. As it stands, it's tricky to get my siege operators to stay near the engines when a siege arrives without a half dozen dim-witted gatherer dwarves rushing out to meet twenty goblins.

Is it possible?
