But im curious how your designs work. In all the different setups I've done two reservoirs with a floodgate inbetween to keep the difference in waterlevel as high as possible and a wall to stop water flowing back and evening the pressure were the only ones the really worked. The others got interrupted power.
My 2x3 open designs and smallers channels all were impossible to keep balanced (the ones without a wall and floodgate).
I built 7 different ones, some much like yours and linked each one to a mill. The mill was used to test wheter they lost power at any time.
I set it up on repeat job and had enough farms that the mill never runs out of plants to work with.
If the wheel cuts off for any length of time the mill job gets cancelled and so I can easily measure the systems success.
Currently on my fifth year with my test fortress and the only machines to be actual perpetual machines was the one on the wiki and one almost the same but with 2x2 reservoirs.
