Sneak into room.

Use legendary throwing to kill them all with a thong.

Take their loot.

Move on.

I died much the same way on one of my adventurers as he was resting off injuries of a deadly camel attack…

I was ignorant to the fact that lairs are pretty much safe and walled myself in.

I actually stumbled upon my own starved body at a later date, on a new adventurer. He was surrounded by hundreds of monkeys and desert/forest animals, and strangely enough there were hides of cave creatures lying about in bits of blood.

The eternal pyres still blaze. I presume that the animals see him as a God now.

This isn't an adventurer,
but he should have been.

Two of my front gate guards + eight war dogs, held off two ambushes long enough for my civis to get inside. Not one of the goblins died.. I told all military to NOT go outside. But I suppose the sight of the last front gate guard dragging his bleeding and mutilated body closer to the soon-closing gate was too much for one barely competant sword dwarf.

He was one tick away from the gate catapulting him into space.

And now was outside with eight dead wardogs, a dead guard, a guard about to be finished off, and somewhere around 8 goblins.

The sword dwarf charged straight in, stopping the guard from being finished off. Killed one, dodged another. A goblin went after the downed guard again. The sword dwarf would have none of it! He charged passed the three goblins infront of him just to back stab the goblin threatening his friend. Dodged a bolt, killed another goblin.

And so on.. Until no goblins were left. The sword dwarf took no wounds, and gained a title. The guard survived.

I made that sword dwarf go through #$%& as part of a suicide squad until I found that no matter what I threw them at, no one in his squad would die. Years later I ended up making him the military leader, Had a huge tomb made. suited him with artifact; 1 boot, 1 shield. Everything else Candy, with his candy sword named. I planned on having my adventurer come in and don his equipment, then invade the undead fortress in the depths of my fort, then pull the Fun switch.

But the mother#$%&r wouldn't die! And I wouldn't kill him.

That fort was dying due to FPS..
So I had the now legendary sword dwarf lead his squad into the undead fort and do all of this himself. He did it with no losses.. But I had forgotten he couldn't pull the Fun switch.. So I just tunneled down unleashing Fun upon the world. He stopped them.. losing every man in his military, he alone stood atop the bodies.
"What the hell are you?" I said to the screen.

I'd suggest a movie be made of this but I don't think anything we mere mortals could put into a short film would do this story justice.

...Why turn temperature on? This sounds fun. Have a fortress of flaming dwarves.

I try for a full suit of iron armor and a steel/iron longsword. I then train myself from the ground up in a secondary and tertiary method of attack.

Indrick Boreale specializes in Swordsman(Legendary), Lasher(Master) and a variety of kicks and punches and bites around adept that I might have levelled by just punching a crippled bronze collossus.

...I don't know how this works, but it could be that your friend built his fortress on an area so sunken into the earth that it has crushed hell itself.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Exploits and honor
« on: December 03, 2013, 01:28:00 pm »
I don't even know how to do most of the exploits. If I did, I would do a danger room without batting an eyelash.

I'd also probably form a death squad of vampires that have trained to legendary on prisoners, but I don't really consider either of those exploits.

But martial honor is something that I understand and believe dwarves would have.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / How do I make a danger room?
« on: November 05, 2013, 09:08:27 am »
...And get my dorfs to go in it?

Really, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them to go into the danger room. It's adjacent to the barracks and has a nice little slot for dodging. Training my dodging is a necessity for keeping my dorfs nice and skilled in the arts of war.

Can you help me out?

No, I'm pretty sure they're fighting each other.

If you ever get bored, you have an arena to go spectate now.

Or you can just slaughter them all! BUTCHER THE GOBLINS!

who has the most demon kills?  :D
Well, if you mean demons killed then I have about 2 at the most. But if you mean kills using a demon then 35. I used a giant, fire-breathing pig that had grandmaster in most combat skills and could fling fireballs at anything.
He obviously meant using a demon corpse as a weapon.

Adventurer's class has been changed to Hellbat.

In the current version, only your dwarven civ will replace slain kings/queens with another random dwarf that just happens to be alive.  Adventure mode assassinations lead to you being universally hated by all that nation's members and allies, but no new king/queen is crowned.

Even if I'm freeing them from the clutches of an ebil demon?

Even if I'm a legend that has killed three titans in their name?

Ingrates.

I grabbed a flying lungfish out of the air.

It is now my second adventurer's weapon of choice.

I also found a masterwork red-dyed thong with spikes of fire agate.

It is now Indrick Boreale's underwear of choice.

2026: Everyone wonders what that lever next to your furnace does. You respond by telling them to 'Pull it and find out!'.

Casualties estimated to be around eighty one, still finding charred beard residue in pockets around your basement.

"I'M NOT DONE WITH THE GORY PULP THAT IS YOUR EYES! I WILL ERASE THE VAGUE IMPRESSION THAT YOU WERE EVER ABLE TO SEE AT ALL! FORGET THE VITAL ORGANS, BLINDING THE BLINDED AS I BLIND BLIND PEOPLE IS ALL THAT MATTERS!"

-Urist McMason, enraged at having found a Gecko Man in his fortress.

Urist McMason has been happy as of late. Urist McMason took joy in slaughter recently. Urist McMason has been satisfied at work lately. Urist McMason enjoyed a truly decadent dish lately.

Urist McMason likes Gecko Man Eyes.

I've been wanting a signature for a long time, do you mind?
Also the mason had a promotion to militia commander and its currently tearing apart legs of giant grasshopper women

Go ahead, take it.

You know what they say, the more the merrier.

I just hammered him.

My hammerer broke a few fingers.

Due to an unfortunate accident, he'll be confined to that hospital bed awaiting treatment forever...

Ahaha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH~!!!
