Arwen nods, smiling. "Ah Leosin. I recall liking him. Seems the group wouldn't be opposed to me, at least." He pauses to look around, organizing his thoughts as he traced various threads of magic around the room. "Uncle... I know you studied magic.
I... Didn't. My abilities came from luck. Or possibly something more dangerous. After my fight with Cyanwrath, something about me must have changed, deep inside. I can see these threads, and manipulate them. It's how I cast my spells. I don't know what to make of it,  but it's been a boon thus far. I can't help but wonder if there might be a deeper meaning to these connections being revealed to me..."

2
Arwen simply listens, nodding when appropriate. A network of spies could be useful, especially to someone like his uncle. Hell, he and Johanna could use some spies of their own. That thought resonated a bit, lingering in Arwen's consciousness.

"So they'd be interested in stopping a cult of Dragon Worshippers who control a Dragon, for instance? And could potentially give information to people standing against them?" He pauses for a moment, remembering how his Uncle said he could sniff magic, and his newfound sight. "So you can't smell magic... But what if someone could see the threads of magic around a person?"

3
Arwen sits, trying to ignore the rat and what it was doing. For now, he needed allies. And he needed to depend on his family. His voice dropped low so that Johanna could, hopefully, not overhear him. "Uncle... What are the Harpers?"

4
Arwen will head to Lyon's Tower, knocking on the door. "Uncle? It's Arwen. I was hoping you had some time to talk a bit? There's some things I'd like to ask you."

5
Arwen slides up to the other members of the guard after a rather boring patrol, lifting his helmet off. "What was that bit about a secret society?"

6
So I'm thinking 1 or 7. Rex is trained so I probably don't need to do 10?

I will go with 7 helping the guard, but if 1 shows up...

7
Arwen ponders this for a moment. His Uncle was a Wizard, someone who pursued knowledge like it was all they lived for, but in the end he was family. If nothing else, family meant that he could be trusted. Arwen nodded to the group, facing his Uncle again.

"Sorry Uncle, I've found myself more curious as of late. We'll leave the eggs with you, to pick them up when we return whenever that may be. The Drakes will likely enjoy staying with you as well, but I believe I'll take Rex with me."

8
"Uncle... Why did you specifically mention the wedding?" Arwen turns to his uncle, an eyebrow raising. Suddenly the feeling he got whenever he saw an animal near his uncle was making sense, as was the disappearance of that kitten he'd found when he was just a boy. He can't leave these eggs with his Uncle. No matter what.

"And where are these vats of acid?"

9
Arwen can only nod in response to Cora. "We took them from their... nest I guess? The Cult was going to raise them I think,
and I can probably do a much better job. And I agree with you Johanna. If it turns out they can't be taught any other way to be... I'll take care of it."
He nods, but grins at her. "But that decision is probably a year or two away, or at the very least a few months.
The issue then becomes I'm not very familiar with dragons so... Cora! What do you say about us hiring you on as our Dragon Expert while we raise these dragons? It'll be an experiment, and if you can tell people you assisted in teaching Black Dragons how to be good, well I can't imagine doors wouldn't open for you."

10
Arwen shakes his head. "Most behaviors, like those we show in public, are typically learned. If we can train it to behave like a good person... Dragon... Then it shouldn't be a problem, right? Look at Rex. He started out pretty fierce but now he's like a loyal dog.
Besides. I don't think we should call something evil just because of what it is. That's kind of... Wrong, I think. Everything deserves a chance."

11
And raising it to be not an asshole is my plan. Yes they are NORMALLY Evil but sometimes that's an issue of upbringing. If we teach it to act beyond base instincts... then we should be just fine. And yes Arwen volunteers to wrestle it as needed so it doesn't bite anyone else.

12
"... I saw we keep it." Arwen is now very close to the egg, looking down at it with almost partental affection.

I'd like to toss my hat IN to the ring as well.

Arwen nods, taking a step back and letting out a breath. "Sorry Johanna. I'm just worried about my family is all." Not intimidating? That was a bit disappointing to hear, but maybe that just meant he shouldn't be trying. "I'm glad to hear you're not trying to put anyone else into danger, at least." With that he took a seat, giving Rex a bit of attention while waiting for Cora to identify the eggs.

15
Arwen chuckles, looking down at Cora with a smile on his face. "My dear lady, that's where you're wrong. You came to my uncle about it. While we may not be the closest of relatives, he is still family. Earlier, I promised my closest sister that I would wrestle and ride a dragon to her wedding to avoid missing it. It was not a jest.". He leans a bit closer, his voice dropping a bit. "If I would go that far just to visit them, what do you think I would do if one of them was hurt?" He pulls back a bit, the smile gone from his face. "I, of course, will not force you to tell me, but I tend to be the sort to go out of my way to help people. Who knows? Maybe there's something I could do to assist you as well."
