Well, that was interesting at least. But it seemed like enough of them had finished talking. Wandering back over to Cat, she reached out with the crystal, gently touching the cover of the grimoire with the tip, watching the crystal once again begin to glow.

Ciera stopped in her path and turned to face the mysterious bard, hand with the crystal in it dropping back down to her side.
"H-huh... I can understand you, yes. But I can't understand anything Catherine is saying. Though we do seem to have found the artifact..."
Why could she understand him and not Catherine? Were they connected somehow? No, that was just her being silly with wishful thinking. There was probably just something weird going on, something she wouldn't be able to understand anyways. Still, she took a few steps back towards Alec, and waited to see if he had anything more to say.

Ciera slipped off her ring as Alec talked about not understanding Catherine, while also finally unearthing the crystal that she'd taken command of.
"Ah, here we go, found it. Though, does it really matter how the rings work? I mean, we can understand each other, that's what really matters. Who cares if some of us can understand us without the rings?"
She didn't understand the fuss really. They had a job to do, an enemy to defeat! She walked over to Catherine, and presented the crystal with a gesture towards the books. She assumed the woman wouldn't be able to understand her words, but they could do this silly experiment at the same time that they were also looking for what they came here for.

Ciera groaned slightly as she regained consciousness, followed quickly by a blush as she remembered what had happened and realized who had found her. The mysterious bard...
"I thought I was getting better with the sword... Oh well, it's not like it's the most dangerous thing I've done before. ... I think. I think I was military, back before I was summoned here... So it would stand to reason that I've done more dangerous. I'll blame it on using a sword instead of my lance. It feels much more comfortable using a spear than this sword."
She stood up and stretched slightly, busying herself with checking over the equipment on her pegasus, before pulling out the crystal she had been given to help in their quest, taking a few sneaky glances at the man who had helped her along the way. He'd said she had a lovely face. Her hand itched, wanting to brush the stray hair out of his face. Her cheeks flushed at that though, unsure where it had come from. She needed to pull herself together.
"Thank you for your help, sir. Your magic is quite interesting, I must say. I want to ask you more about it, though I probably should go help with the search for the item that brought us here. I did take the crystal after all..."
