INCARNATE SELF AS GWG V2

Roland's face hardens into a grimace.

"I don't give a flying shit about the prisoners! You have two options. Either hide in those caves while we come in to flush ya' out, killing hostages as you go, or you surrender now and live, worst case until you hit the gallows, best case until you get out of jail. I don't care if you kill those people, I don't fucking know them! But I think you value your own lives, at least a little more."

Threaten them. If they don't respond, rush the cave with guns blazing.

-1 to looting the town.

We're not going to start robbing civilians caught in the middle. Nobody would ever hire us.

The hell they won't, it's expected of us, we're  mercenaries, and that's what we do. It's always about money. They'd still hire us, they just know the risks of hiring merc's, any merc's. Plus, the money we gain can go towards replacing the men we lost, and better equipment and training. I don't see a malus to this, besides civilians disliking us. I mean, seriously, who hires mercenaries - who fight for money only - and expect them not to loot the town they just captured?

"Shit, don't want to draw attention." Jakob mutters to himself. He wraps the cloak closer around him, moving close to the shadows - it's to hard for him to act like one of these swine. He moves faster, trying to finish his business before being noticed too much.

Find the Brothel. Enter it. Pay if I must, but I have to get off the street.

-1. He can do it himself, we don't even know exactly what he wants out of this, how are we supposed to agree to terms? What authority would we have to do so anyway?

So why don't we ask our lord if it's ok to parlay with the enemy, as we have right of conquest? The worst he can do is deny us.

Hey everybody, sorry, no update tonight, probably one around noon HST tomorrow. After that, you'll probably have to wait a while, as I'm going on a trip for a few days, but I might get one out during the rest of the week.

In terms of parleying, you do to technically have the right to initiate talks with Jeg, being the commander of the men first over the walls (an ancient custom in this world dictates that the men first over the walls are those who officially take it, and those who officially take it have the right to do as they wish with anything and anyone inside the walls.) However this relies on a loose interpretation of the law, and the Count would definitely not like you doing anything without his approval.

This reinforces my point. Let's ask our lord first.

Request that we be able to parlay with the enemy lord. Take care of wounded, interrogate prisoners, and loot the surrounding town in the meantime.

Conjure d4, and force GM to use it from now on!

((Sorry I was gone, I have difficulty posting on weekends. Thanks for running me in the turn anyway, though.))

while he says this, Roland reloads his revolvers, and moves closer to the cave entrance.

"Prisoners we have enough to lose a few." she shouts back.

Roland manages to get all the way to the cave entrance, keeping flat to the wall.
As he takes a quick peak it becomes clear that the cave soon narrows and splits up in to tunnels, once you get past the entrance way.
The echo's of movement half cover the sound of running water deeper in side.

Roland's face hardens into a grimace.

Yeah we don't have the right to parlay on the Count's behalf.

Search for anything of value and interrogate the prisoners to find out if the keep has any other entrances.
+1

+1 to taking care of our wounded too.

Can we also: See if we can possibly climb the keep and get some men inside the top floor? We might be able to take them by surprise that way. It'd probably be super dangerous just freeclimbing the walls so if it seems unsafe or in any way not a good idea, then let's just hang back and provide support fire.

Also yay my plan totally worked guise!! :D
Yes, our plan worked.

-1 to any overtly aggressive moves. He's locked up, so we don't need to rush.

We have the right to parlay (with or without the Count's knowledge) due to the fact that we just took the damned castle! Seriously, what can we lose if we attempt to parlay? A reprimand from our lord?

355
"Alright guys, I have a few buds that hang out with trolls every once in awhile. I know some shortcuts, once we get there!"

We will do no such thing, of course.

((Sorry I was gone, I have difficulty posting on weekends. Thanks for running me in the turn anyway, though.))

Roland shouts back to the bandit -

"Look, that prisoner is the only bargaining chip you have, and it's not a very good one. If you kill him, we kill you, simple as that. I offer a solution. You come out, hands in the air, with your 'hostages' in front, to assure we won't shoot you. We bind you up, you spend some time in jail, and we get our bounty. 's better than more dyin', which will mostly be on your side."

while he says this, Roland reloads his revolvers, and moves closer to the cave entrance.

Yeah, the valleys were made when the planets were taken out of the plane.

EDIT:
Aww, you come back from a fun-filled weekend, and somebody has usurped your position as an Elder God.

Boo.

Oh well, I guess I can Roleplay as a Younger, but that wasn't what I was aiming for.
You didn't post over the weekend, so don't blame anyone else.

I wasn't going to. I take full responsibility of not posting on the weekend. I'm just voicing my disgruntled-ness. Ignore it.

Anyways, yes, please name the planets. Also, I was under the impression that they were roughly the same size?....

If I can suggest some scenarios, the Battle of Waterloo and the Battle of Gettysburg both look like good fits to what you want. You could make the Players English/Union respectively, and just have never ending French/Confederates.

Also, I would like to be in the next scenario, if possible :P.
