migration from dead civs seems different in the new release, I have had migration up to 200 as the only site in a civ, I can confirm you will keep getting caravans too.  Yes it is possible to revive the civ by making a bunch of sites, and I believe hillocks and deep sites can form of their own accord given enough time. An embark becomes a mountainhome when the monarch arrives, which is dependent on population, total wealth and an amount of wealth gifted to the caravan.  That said with dead civs wierd things can happen and monarchs can come early

I suspect you would have to mod such a thing in.  If you're desparate you can just raid hamlets for bags of berries or whatever else they have around.  but wait I suppose you have to pick those up to eat them?  If something is on the ground under you can you just eat it there?  If so you could try finding some edible crops around

I say the fight can be as unfair as you are prepared to be.  I had originally planned to light fires around my opponent and throw water at him endlessly or something but then I thought maybe he wasnt so tough given the short amount of playtime before he was retired

Well you can retire, unretire cerol then retire him in a fort or other small location

if you can memorize the name of all the surface (or deep) sites you can just flip between locally important and peasant until it say's you'll start there

Meeting for summer 102
Our booze situation has greatly improved after the establishment of several stills above ground.  We still however face the problem of overcrowding, especially in the dining room.  Also another snatcher indicates the goblins can only be more aware of our presence, perhaps a wall around our entire settlement with a narrow gate would allow us to more easily detect them?  Or anyone who is willing to patrol the area 24/7?
