I know that now. Some annoying engraver went crazy, ran around moving my stuff, then went bersek, killed a donkey (someone's pet) and was surrounded by angry wrestler dwarves. His right arm was ripped off, but the engraver was very tough and strong so he broke my spear dwarve's leg before dying.

Oh thank god. I had a legendary guy go insane, and so I thought that flashing meant the dwarf was about to go berserk. I had a flashing guy guarded nonstop because of this.

I think just ropes. I have been hearing they are useless as constraints.

I have only 1 entrance in my fort walls, and only 2 staircases into my actual base. Whenever I get a "skulking thief" message, I send all my unarmed sodiers (all amazing wrestlers to the one entrance and lock the door. Usually while he tries desperately to pickpocket his way out. my guys are breaking his limbs and spine. Bastard thief.

The simplest way to do it is to mine a corridor to a river, then make a room that uses a channel/staircase to go down a z-level, then put a well above that room via channel. That's what I do.

Hah, I like the names you made up.

But I would say your original method sounds good, it's what I would do. However, make the pit deeper so the colossus doesn't die in some crazy accident.

Make him mangle goblins who are knocked out and already hurt from the fall.

When I tell my Captain of the Guards to use an axe or a sword, how to a specify what material made axe to use?

I am worried my soldiers are using wooden weapons instead of iron ones, and I want to know how to make sure my Captain of the Guards gets the iron armor instead of the recruits.

Is it possible to view what wounds a person has, after they died?
I always hear of people saying how someone died, but how do they figure that out?
I am interested to know how damaged a dead goblin is.

I know V then W brings up wounds on living stuff, but how about dead guys?
