Tiruin: It's amusing how many times I've seen the female players here referred to as "he".  Granted, I've done it myself, but sometimes it feels like "are you not paying attention, dude, because it's been mentioned before".

Now, back to the game.  There apparently is a town wincon, which is in line with other semi-bastard games.

I think we've been overthinking this, people.  Many semi-bastard games can be won in multiple ways, including lynching the scum, and the evil players were so kind as to claim for us.

Alright, I have a majority on the punishment, so even though we don't have every vote in yet I'm going to start the night phase:

The room falls deathly quiet, no dwarf daring to speak their mind.  The baron sighs, gripping the edge of his chair and hauling himself to his feet.  The creaking of the chair breaks the awful silence, but only for a moment.  With his magisterial robes flowing around him, the baron limps to each one of you in turn, as each dwarf points at parts of the tablet in turn.  When he is done, the baron limps back to his seat, lowering himself with a sigh.
“Well, everyone, it appears we have a majority decision.  Imperial Guardsman, do you have anything to say for yourself?”
“I do,” Imperial Guardsman growls, rising to his feet, “You’ll be sorry afterwards, condemning an innocent dwarf like this.”
“So it will be recorded.  GUARDS!”
With barely a squeak, the doors slide open to admit two heavily armed guards in full battle armor.
“Take this one away and beat him.  Get someone to search his room and one of those insufferable peasants to carry him to the hospital afterwards.”
Without a word, the guards advance, grasping Imperial by both shoulders.  With firm pressure, they begin to guide him towards the doorway.  Imperial’s shoulders slump, but he holds his head high, unbowed, maintaining a stoic silence as he is forcibly marched out of the room.

A nervous tension settles over the room as the group awaits the results of the search.  Finally, a civilian dwarf pokes her head into the room.
"I searched the manager's chambers, sir, and I couldn't find anything incriminating."
The silence is finally broken by the baron, "Very well.  Everyone get some sleep.  We will return to this tomorrow evening."

Night falls over the fortress.  All night actions must be submitted by 10 pm forum time (GMT-5) tomorrow.  The thread will be locked until then.

Hi LARD.
I was frankly rather bemused at the time and too damn lazy to look back and see what the charges against you were.  I hadn't seen anything I qualified as scummy play from you, so I was asking people to state their cases again so I could read them and scumcheck the cases.  By which I mean figure out which players had weak arguments, as scum often do.

The thing about your sig was idle banter unrelated to the game.

I am Sir Brenzen, low magebane of the knights of St. Zane.  Our founder, Urist McKnight, bravely tried to follow in the footsteps of our patron saint and turn back the tide of the Bloodkin invasion, along with the founders of our order.  None survived, but the order has lived on, joined by the bravest dwarves of every generation.  As low magebane, it is my role to lead our local group, but this time my superiors have given me a far greater task.  The bloodkin have found us, and it is my job to stem the tide of the invasion.  To arms, my brothers, to arms!!!!!

There are a couple of points I would like to make here:
The knights of St Zane are one of the few groups that still believes in the existence of the bloodkin.  Also, the hierarchy of the order will be explained more as time goes on.

The second point is that I don't expect others to actually be members of the order.  You can be if you want, but don't take my last sentence of the description to imply that you have to be.

Feel free to establish organizations, everyone.  That's one thing the original Steelhold lacked.

Tiruin and Toaster: don't make me play bad cop. I mean it. Stop it, both of you. Stop the insults, implied insults, everything. THIS is what makes mafia distasteful to so many people. Because many games devolve into a verbal fistfight. If I have to, I WILL find out if my powers allow me to target humans. Toaster first, because you're the one who's the more egregious offender here.

Now. Either play civilly or not at all. That goes for both of you, I don't want to see any counters from Tiruin, either.
