The artist of the temple may of been a voraphile  then.

Actually, I constantly find pictures of people eating other people now that I look hard enough.

Apparently people starve so easily in DF that royalty or warriors become more famous from eating things.

Your hobbits have steel.

SHOW ME WHERE TO ADD THE ENTITY TOKEN, POR FAVOR.

I'm sick and tired of using iron in the middle ages, where they actually did use steel extensively, beard or not.

EDIT: Never mind, found the reaction thing with steel dorfs have but humans don't.

Instead of raising toughness, raise willpower. It works like Toughness and Endurance at the same time, albeit weaker.

I was killed unfairly by the last bandit of a raiding party, a lasher. He hits me in the hand, I drop my steel battle axe, as I bend down to pick it up he hits me in the head. Typical, right? I try to come up with something funny, but it happens to everyone and thus is not funny.

Then I remembered this quote.

Aren't whips currently incorrectly modeled in DF? I read that DF thinks they are rigid, so in practice they end up being 6-foot long lightsabers moving at the speed of sound.

Decided to become a necromancer and destroy the world. Step in the door and someone notices me. Torn apart by zombies.

Always, always become a vampire before doing that.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: Goblin merchants?

I used to just find "goblin prisoners" on occasion besides the whole "goblin bandits" thing, but now I routinely find goblin merchants, goblin warriors, and goblin townsfolk in human towns. Once, I accidentally aimed an attack at a friend goblin while fighting a bunch of criminal goblins, and was subsequently "framed for a crime he didn't commit". That guy died when a hammerlord got on him while he was defending himself by spitting his last possession, coins, at him.

Moral: There is a difference between the good goblins and the bad goblins. Treat the good once nicely.

Sorry if this is the tiniest bit off-topic, but...

Will this release bring about a lower spawn rate of anthropomorphic animals?

It's seriously annoying when you're starving and that "e" looks mighty tasty, until you realize you just decapitated an eagle woman that you can't eat. Those things are way too common. Or maybe it's just the worlds I generate, I dunno. Either way, how often they're found crosses some of my weirdness boundaries.

Dear Dorfs,

Please, please stop running away from elk birds every frickin' time you're going to get some addy for the sword I'm going to give to a future adventurer.

Signed,

Moi

P.S. Avoid cutting into caverns at all costs, cave moss and underground mushtrees are fugly

So, after accidentally killing my friend and being exiled, I stole 1000 dorfbucks from a shop and fled.

I get a quest to kill a "troglodyte" whatever that is and run into a bandit boss instead.

My last ditch effort:

Dorf Adventurer uses Pay Day!

It doesn't affect the foe Dorf Bandit...

Dorf Bandit uses Skull Bash!

It's super effective!

Dorf Adventurer fainted!

Dorf Adventurer has been struck down.

You are deceased.

EDIT:
Made this afterward.

Apologies for the god-forsaken part where he takes the bag of money. It played out better in my head.

Made a dorf fort and used it just to make some spiked balls, a few minecarts, and build an inn.

Returned later with an adventurer, used the minecart.

Hilarity ensues as my adventurer learns to fly for 2 seconds, then becomes nauseated, mortally wounded, heavily bleeding, winded. etc. over the course of a turn. Broke his legs, might I add. Lucky he survived.

Play nice with minecarts, kiddies.

So, this is my epic adventurer, slain countless werebeasts, kill list at least ~30.

In catacombs looking for what the Lord described as "a criminal mastermind"...

He had like a million lackeys. Criminal mastermind indeed.

Note to self: Always let companions go first. ALWAYS.

That's really good advice.

But where do I find wooden shields? Elven communes I guess. Haven't come across one yet, don't think my world has one to be honest.

Yeah, that's where. It only works if you replace tree cities with regular cities so you can steal or buy some. Wooden shields are very useful, 'cause they still won't break but are light as a feather. Like adamantine.

I like playing Vanilla. Maybe I'll try modding once I'm bored of regular Adventure Mode.

If I start a fort and inexplicably stock up on wooden shields from elven caravans that could also probably work.

Haha lol. You might be able to make your own wooden shields in dorf mode too, considering how many other things you can make out of wood. (MInecarts, ha ha!)

Hi, this is one of my adventurers which started as a  professional dodger human demi-god, or something like that. I don't remember exactly ???

I like. Simple, funny. Your art style is clever, and you make brilliant usage of 11-point Times New Roman.

Later I'm probably going to make another picture.
