Hrm, interesting. Does anyone know what the proper etiquette for bringing this to Toady's attention would be? A PM, perhaps? I wonder if he's already noticed. Whatever the case, I have a fear of authority figures, so if someone else could do it and I could hide that would be grand.

I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed the forum acting up lately. Pages load slowly, sometimes the whole forum just stops responding, and it's just generally not up to par. I'm hoping it's not on my end, which seems unlikely, as it's -just- this forum... So, have any of you guys and gals been having similar issues?

Methinks you mean Treebeard, and yes, all those things are true... but since the Lord of the Rings, he's done nothing but those damnable Sci-Fi originals. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

"They're digging in the wrong place!"

More sad things: I had a nightmare, but it's one of those ones where you wake up and realize that reality is actually worse.
Isent that a good dream then?

In a way, but the element of the dream that made it nightmarish is one that I try to keep out of mind most of the time.

More sad things: I had a nightmare, but it's one of those ones where you wake up and realize that reality is actually worse. And the forum is acting weird on me, dropping out for a minute or so at a time every now and then.

Compelled is I think what you're looking for.

Also, thing that made me sad today: my miserable skill (or lack thereof) at interpersonal relationships.

I'm pretty sure that was an acute attack of pent-up sexual frustration all around. I wouldn't hold it against anybody unless they try to go at it again, myself... although it made me sad mostly just 'cause we disappointed you, Sofia. :c

If we don't forget this thread ever happened, and fast, I will cry. Just sayin'.

Why are you guys doing a misogyny derail?

God sometimes I'm ashamed to be a part of this community.

Okay, new worst feeling in the world achieved :c

Wow, sure is mysogynistic stereotyping around here.

True enough, but in my case, at least, I'm just tired of seeing people I care about basically running into a wall over and over. Ya know what the worst thing is, though? When the jerk in the equation is -you-. Which is to say, -you're- the "dangerous guy" here. Worst feeling in the world, to my knowledge.

What I think you can do is just initiate a vote to change the map and gametype while you're the only person in there, and it'll instantly switch.

The thing is, most of them recognize that fact only after they're about 20 years old or so, and sometimes not even then. Anytime before that, most still seem plenty oblivious enough to fall for the "dangerous guy," who, more often than not, is just a jerk.

Hehehe, that's absolutely fantastic. Poor John Rhys-Davies' career. He was on a Sci-Fi original a while back (I guess long enough for it to have still been Sci-Fi.) There is almost nowhere lower to sink.

Download the game, start the game, hit the `/~ key, type, without quotes: "connect 64.234.4.72 0 toadyone" and hit enter, and you'll be whisked off to a magical private server hosted on my computer. Exactly what you do there is largely up to you; cooperative editing is still pretty much a mystery to me. In fact most of the game is, for now. But I figured it'd be good to get a server up and running anyway, 'specially since I'm running a Minecraft one already.

We've all known your pain, Sofia. Well, maybe I shouldn't say that; some of us might've come from insanely rich families and be young enough to have grown up without experiencing the horror of dialup.
