Switching to garlic tea
I cannot fathom how that could possibly taste good. And I've never heard of barley tea...

Can I assume you know about that song through Halo? Because realy? I mean realy? Next thing you'll be linking us to somebody playing Call of duty to the tune of 'The Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil'! It sort of reminds me of this little ditty.

But let's get something else in. The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - Stay Alive.

I'd fucking play COD to Sympathy for the Devil. There's something wrong with that?

I thought I'd read that 2-3 cups of coffee a day is actually healthy.

I haven't really done research, but I assume the problem with energy drinks is how loaded they are.  Your body can only handle so much at one time.  You're essentially frying your nervous system, I think.
I've read similar things about coffee. That's why I've been wondering why energy drinks often get a bad rap. But in most of the 'energy drink death' stories I've heard, the person has done something insane like drink eight cans of Red Bull or drink a lot of energy drinks with alcohol and then go and try to play basketball.

I used to have a coworker who would regularly drink a pot of coffee before work and then 3 monsters before his lunch break.  I can only liken his apparent state to that of a drunken squirrel.  He was always half asleep but wired to the point that he couldn't sit still or maintain any attention span.
That could be over 1000mgs of caffeine...before noon?! Do you know if this man is still alive?

So, I've heard a lot of controversy about energy drinks (Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar etc.), about how bad they are for you, and how they can affect your heart and brain etc...but I have never understood why they are targeted so much when many people drink 1-2 cups of coffee per day, as well as lots of sodas. I was wondering about what some of the other 'energizing' ingredients in these drinks actually did, and I found this article. It briefly describes ginseng, taurine, guarana and others. Some of these are just different forms of caffeine.

So my question is, is there something about energy drinks that makes them worse for your body than the equivalent amount of caffeine and sugar that you could consume through coffee, tea, and sodas? Do any of the other ingredients in particular cause problems?

Food that People Should like.

Seaweed is exotic. Peppers are exotic.
What the hell are peeps? I wouldn't eat my peeps!

But hey, if anyone enjoys tucking into a good lemon, post it here! I used to enjoy the occasional lemon back in my younger days. That was back when I was on a daily diet of citrus fruit, though.

I love lemons. I'll eat them raw like an orange. Limes too.
I am not a picky eater and will try just about anything but I have never like mayonnaise at all.

Down here in the south, we're loving the snow.
Amen. Atlanta got it's first white cristmas in some 200 years.
I was in Georgia for that, very nice. Here in Charlotte, NC we've had snow (3-5) inches twice so far this season, the most recent being a few days ago. Missed two days of school so far, crossing my fingers for a refreeze tomorrow :). I don't mind the weather too much, I prefer a dry cold winter day to a sweaty humid summer one. Also when it has snowed, it never gets very dark outside even at night.

I always assumed it was caused by electronics.  Hmm...
Is there anything upstairs that could be causing a sound?

I've been playing guitar for 2-3 years now, with a few lessons but 95% of what I know at this point I have learned from tabs, the occasional video and practice. I mostly play acoustic. For Christmas I got a Taylor 110, it's very nice :D. As for electric my dad gave me his B.C. Rich Mockingbird a while back. So nice guitars but my amps are just a couple of 15-20 watt Peavey's. One from Goodwill, the other is one we've had for a long time. But like I said I don't play much electric (though I'm going to get into it more).

For those in search of good classical tabs, this website is a godsend http://www.classtab.org/

A friend of an acquaintance of mine recently died (very young, I have no idea what cause), and his page was used by his friends to post memories and R.I.P.'s and whatever else you say to dead people and their families. The guy's family thanked everyone who posted etc. and I assume they could eventually lock it or whatever.

It was bizarre to scroll down his page and see his last posts before you started to see the R.I.P stuff...

My dad has been a commercial illustrator for years, and he does his work on the computer. He had me on his lap staring at a screen before my first birthday.

I'm no guru, I don't know the first thing about programming and I don't have a vast understanding of the more technical aspects of computing, but it astounds me how many people (mostly of previous generations) have a hard time just figuring out how to check their email...and God forbid an error window, that really can throw them off...

I thought the ability to stand entry went hand in hand with motor nerve damage, so I'm not sure.

"Ability to stand lost" means she will never walk again. Also there is a bug where dwarves are never assigned crutches.

I love peppermint tea. Also like English Breakfast or Earl Grey, and green teas are nice. I take all of them with a half teaspoon of sugar.
