Well. Didn't expect this.
Hector:Also, an explanation of why you wait until 3 days into LYLO to reveal.
The day started on Saturday, yes? My weekends are hella busy because I'm a full time college student (with finals next week) with a job. Thus I did not post, or even get on the forums, during the weekend. I also didn't take the time to notice the absence of any email notifications because I was so busy.
On Monday, I finally checked my email and felt like a friggin idiot for forgetting to investigate. It was then I decided that the best course of action was to claim and have EP lynched. Killing scum would buy us more time to find the other one because we can't afford a town lynch.
EPLet us dissect this lovely little BS you've presented.
Now, I know that this is a scum gambit—or a weird town gambit, but that's unlikely enough that I'm going to ignore the possibility—but no-one else does.
Uh-huh... so you're saying that you personally think this is a scum gambit, yes? I've been scum before, bud. I'm better at scum than town. Scum just has to lay low and gently nudge the town in the wrong direction. LYLO is hard to come back from. Why in tarnation would I start this crap, just because someone's demanding why I didn't post, when can easily use the above reasons?
I'd like to point something out: You waited to say this until after ATH's lynch. Why not point this out D2, giving town a free lynch and ATH more time to respond?
ATH was a distraction. I know who one scum is, but not the other. I was hoping that the other scum could be found and I could last longer and be able to investigate. Admittedly, I'm an idiot and didn't use my second investigate, but that's why I did nothing to stop ATH from being lynched. I didn't know he was positively town, or I would have done something if I'd had the time to get in here and post.
The way I see it, you coasted on the easy lynch (ATH) and, now that all of the lurkers are dead or replaced, decided to fake a cop claim because you couldn't do anything productive.
That's cute. I'm claiming cop because I have a metric ton of shit to deal with IRL? You stink of OMGUS.
There is a jailer, not a doctor.
Are you claiming this is a reason for me being scum? Forgetting that it's a jailor and not a doctor? It was a mistake, yes. But how does it apply to making me scum? You're scrounging for things now.
Silthuri, since I know for a fact you are scum.
Awww... are you the cop now? How are you so sure? Why should town believe you over me?
Doomchild:I'm waiting for Silthuri's response on this, but I'm having a hard time imagining what series of events would have kept him from pushing on EP during D2, or outright claiming earlier.
As I think I've said before, I was trying to buy time. I held in my results because I had hoped to do more for town. Clearly I suck at my job and I'm just screwing town. A claim on D2 is a sure way to die. The only reason I claimed was my mistake in assuming there was a doctor. Clearly I am mistaken.
Who would you say is the person most requiring of pressure, then? At the moment, I'm thinking it's Silthuri, with the extremely convenient LYLO cop claim.
LYLO is the time when we absolutely CANNOT afford to lynch town. I saw no reason to not claim. I didn't expect to catch all this fire, but so be it. It's convenient because it made sense to me.
As an aside, I'm sort of miffed that me having RL issues, especially finals next week, is looked down upon for missing a weekend. And the fact that my phone has been losing its freaking mind lately and hasn't been telling me I've been getting emails, which I should go to IT for sometime this week. For those of you who haven't played with me, I abhor it when people claim to have IRL troubles when they aren't. Thus, I hold myself to the same standard. I will not claim technical issues if this is not the case. I'm not saying that I'm town because my phone fcked up. But don't let that be the deciding factor. Punishing people for RL stuff is annoying.
