I have already signed up to donate games, but not to recieve any yet.

I would like to be added to the giveaways for the following games: A Boy and His Blob, Human Resource Machine, Mini Metro, Stardew Valley, The Bard's Tale.

I have thoroughly read the rules. Here is my Steam profile.

I would like to give away two games and a DLC on December 19.

The first game is FEZ. The second is the Binding of Isaac Collection - this is the original and the Wrath of the Lamb expansion, not the remake.

The DLC I'd like to give away is the Payday 2 Merry Christmas Soundtrack DLC. It's festive!

"Yes, a shadowy being behind a strange doorway. As far as I can tell, only the people the minders summoned can pass through and speak to it. It has a keen interest in the social connections between people. If you trade one to it, then the other person is basically unable to perceive you."

While we're talking I try to remember where I saw the set of clothes earlier, and make my way over to grab them.

It's notable that churches being untaxed actually helps keep religion out of the government. If church taxes become a thing, politicians will be incentivized to increase church attendance like they're currently incentivized to encourage business creation/growth. Having a lot of nonreligious or apathetic people in an area will literally deprive the government of funding. As an atheist, that worries me.

I'm not saying untaxed churches are the ideal solution, but they do solve some problems that any replacement system would also need to solve.

The only risk I know to refrigerating hot food is with really large batches (like 50+ pounds). If you don't do something to rapidly cool the food, the center can remain at bacteria-friendly temperatures long enough for them to grow there. But this isn't something the average person should have to worry about often.

Hm. Not very helpful, but she seems to know more about magic than anyone else I've met. Maybe if I fill her in on the details it'll jog her memory.

"I got my first Word down in the well in Anglefork. The minders summoned me and a few other people to Anglefork during the siege, in case you somehow didn't know already. Something about the summoning process linked us to the entity in the well, and because of that we can exchange things it wants for Words or other abilities.

"The well isn't the source of the Words. I've seen others use them - the first was a mechanical king in the catacombs below Anglefork, and the second was the gray stoat that attacked at the end of the siege. The stoat even used multiple words in combination, something I am physically unable to do.

"In addition to dealing with the Well, I've stumbled upon words while interacting with magical phenomena. I believe I acquired a word this way just a moment ago when the rift was sealed."

Life Advice / Travelling in Europe: Booked
« on: December 01, 2016, 08:31:26 am »
So a few of my friends and I are probably going to take a trip over to Europe for a week or two next year. Right now we're in the earliest stages of planning the trip, still figuring out exactly where we're going and how we're going to get there. If you're a European or have experience travelling in Europe, I would appreciate any advice you have, even if it's not directly related to what I'm asking about.

The basic plan is Madrid -> Paris -> Amsterdam, though we're probably going to add more stops along the way (personally, I'm pushing for Belgium). Which leads me to my main question: what is the cheapest and/or easiest way to travel between countries? Right now we're thinking about flying because that looks pretty cheap, but we're open to anything that is comparably cheap. Are trains an option here, or are those for shorter trips?

Also, are there any sort of common inexpensive sleeping arrangements in European cities? A friend of mine traveled to Japan recently and spent relatively little on rooms by staying in internet cafes of all places, so if there's a similar option in Europe I want to know about it.

"It's magic! I guess people around here don't stumble upon magic words every once in a while?"

While we talk I head over to the other side of the basement and start rummaging around blindly.

Okay, and Dozebom is probably going to dislike this, but you're arguing with a high schooler and using that to judge a large portion of liberals. The left seems to constantly get judged by kids on Tumblr and nobody bats an eye, while everyone realizes it's ridiculous as soon as the reverse happens (Pepe).

"I don't know if that went better or worse than expected. Both, I guess?"

If it seems safe now, I make my way over to the far side of the basement and take a closer look at everything.

That is unusual but very interesting... I'm definitely going to have to make a mace pumpkin pie now.

It's from the same plant as nutmeg and tastes similar, so you can probably substitute it if you have trouble finding mace. I got mine from an Indian grocery store.

"Okay, I'm going to try to fix this, but it's probably going to go poorly, so I'd hide on the stairway for a minute or two if I were you."

I give the doctor time to back off, then address the crack in the ground in an attempt to calm it down a bit. "Your HUNGER is sated."
