Holy shit WTF it's eight friggin' degrees.
No wonder I woke up due to being cold. I'm gonna have to get myself some new thermals sometime soon for sure... x_x

Celsius, or... ?

As you may have noticed, I'm not taking any part in the argument. Because of this, I feel entitled to point out that Neonivek's manner of excessive use of ellipsis is rather irritating.
[Ellipsis] usually indicates an intentional omission of a word, sentence, or whole section from a text without altering its original meaning
And you just replace commas, colons, semicolons and periods with it on a whim. I used to make that mistake, too, until the same was pointed out to me in a similar fashion.

This is not a personal attack. No offence meant.

Am I the only one here of proletarian descent?
Something about Bay12 attract poor american people, and affluent people from literally anywhere else.

I am, in fact, something of an opposite of an american. And nevertheless last time I checked my bank account it had like a little over $10 (in my local currency). Not exactly rolling in dough, although not, by any means, poor, as evidenced by the fact that I have a bank account without a tremendous debt to my name and can tell you about it on the Internet, to which I have almost 24/7 access.

If a dragon were to have sex with a human, would the dragon be arrested for bestiality?

Call me up when some human authority warrants an arrest of a dragon. There's money to be made from that spectacle.

I am not used to TV shows actually going places.

Well they do have to cram the entire season in 10 episodes.

Now, for the average person this means roughly fuck all, I suspect, but as someone that's done something approaching no handyman sort of work, it's nice to actually learn something that will likely help in the future.

Unless you have already driven your car after changing, in which case - good job, be extra careful on your next ride.

Anyone ever get the impression that Willy Wonka was full of it and behind the tour was a much more normal ACTUAL factory?
I mean... the Chocolate River actually seems less effective the more I think about it.

He probably outsourced the actual production facility to the backwater country he found Oompa-loompas in, duh. And a little theme park back home. He might be a freaky capitalist, but a capitalist he is.

You're the artiest person too now.

The text and the drawings are actually my boss's doing. I translated some bits to English though (16 authors pitched in on the article, some preferred to write in their native language and have it translated). I also did a lot of synthetic work for this project. I wouldn't say all of it, but a lot of it.

A publication came out in Inorganic Chemistry journal recently where I am a co-author. I think this officially qualifies me as a science person.

EDIT: Technically that was a month ago, but still.

Mr. Brightside mashed with Gravity Falls theme.

Goes together better than you might expect.

It does seem likely that the Jack who is destined to use the portal is older still than the Jack we are currently following, as that Jack has grey in his hair and beard, and his face is lined.  Current hypothesis regarding that is this: Jack defeats Aku in the future and then works to restore the world as its king (see: golden crown upon his brow in portal vision), then returns to the portal when he is ready in order to save the past.

A viable theory, that Jack has years to live up to his prophesied image, but:

Pardon the vulgarity, but if Jack has successfully un-fucked the future while being there, why would he go back to the past that is still fucked? The evil that is Aku has been undone, that was the key part of the original pitch -- going back to the past wasn't a goal in its own right, it was a way to achieve the goal.
But there are those who perished in Aku's conquest and under his rule, I suppose - to save those, maybe it's a reason enough to go back in centuries and fight Aku all over again.
