You are passing through the calm streets of the town. Wherever you look, everything seems to be allright - like no war ended just several months before.
As you approach the market, you can't hear the noise it usually produces: buthcers, bakers and grocery sellers are sitting at their small shops, cheerful and happy. All of them made their profits by Trading food to Men's Empire, so it could feed its soldiers.
You wander around seeking for supplies and [5] you find plently of those by low prices - you managed to purchase enough food and drink for a week for 15 Copper Hammers, which is pretty cheap.
When you are leaving the Market Square, your look falls on an announcement table - your trained sight catches a price of 100 Golden Hammers. Do you wish to approach the table tohave a closer look?

You have a room for rent in a small elvish town called Leroun on outskirts of their realm. This town is occupied by forces of Men. Your host is a young elf, who is a member of Non-Human Alliance, small organisation of only dozen members, but great ambitions. Taking part in it makes him think he is different from others. They think that they're going to unite all the nations against hums tyrany, but in fact they're only a dozen of teens and have no real power.
Now you're out on streets. You see men of 3rd Legion marching the streets, their guns on their side. Sometimes you see them taking elves on streets and leading them to fortress-like Occupation Headquaters. No elf seems to leave this building. So, job from local administration (most of which is a bounty for xeno-heads, more exotic xenos - more money)
Still, plently of job can be found. Mostly, in pubs and taverns.
And its vital for you to avoid patrols.

You are in dwarven fortres-city of Lungdargan. Its situated right on border of Dwarf Commonwealth and Elven Kingdom. It is a very old place, even by dwarven standarts. The whole region seems to be one huge rock, and there are rumors of old dungeons and artifacts all around the place. No more than rumors, however.
You have a room in one of numerous inns of the city, and the whole city seems to be friendly to visitors of any kind. Though the whole place seems prosperous, it's seems to suffer lack of work for mercenaries like you, though you still likely to find it while hanging around thу pubs

You find yourself a place under the railroad stockade in the very heart of Empire of Men. It's all you can afford. To find some work in the capital, you only have to wish to do so. Especially for those, who are men by nature. Or at least partially men. Though nazis are outlawed now, convictions are changed much slowlier than laws. If you wish to find some work of mercenary kind, you'll probably have to leave the capital, for most of the work it is able to offer is managing the mass of papers from all the ends of the Empire, and there's plently of work in new colonies.

You make your way through endless snow-covered plains of borderlands between Elven Kingdom and Dovheim, though it becomes warmer and warmer with every day of your travel to the south. According to the map you saw before leaving, you'll soon end up to a place called Rueran, which once was elven tactically important outpost, but became just a god-forsaken town when the border changed after Last War of Mages two centuries ago.
