Some free email clients won't let you send more than an arbitrary amount.  You can split it up into a multipart zip, but then if that needs enough parts you'll start hitting the emails per hour limit as well.

Yes, I meant as an e-mail attachment. Even the worst clients allow you to send a 10 MB attachment.

Just one small minority will use the bug tracker. Some will suffer in silence. Many will flood the forums to complain. And the majority will wait until the bugs are ironed out. So, it is better we begin as soon as possible.

In the last big releases, if I recall, Toady himself put some mirros on the main page. No one will get without DF...DF has only 10MB... it can be sent by mail!

Depends on a lot of things, all technical at this point...  like what happens when I turn on the other computers that haven't been turned on for 2 years.  And what this mem leak analyzer thingy tells me.  That sort of stuff.  I'm not sure if it will be ready before you have to go to work all month, unfortunately.  Maybe at exactly the wrong time.

I'm already working (my last leaving for a month was yesterday), I will get to test the game at the nights but not as much as I would like. Take your time.

Get the current version (it is as stable as a DF version can be) and learns to play in it. After two months, the new version will be more stable and you can migrate to it.

This is normal state of affairs in programming.

It is as good thing the release isn't decided on the basis of what we want. I, like many others, think that as this is a freaking ALPHA, it is normal to have bugs and more playtesters will help to find more bugs and consequently improve the game.

However, as those with the mindset of consumers (like you) usually complain a lot about the bugged state of releases , Toady and Threetoe are the only playtesters in the hope of getting the game in a better state before releasing.

You can expect people complaining about the state of the game, saying how they expected the game for so long to find it in a bugged state. People complaining about old bug that weren't fixed. And people complaining about the focus on adventure mode.
