One of the names for a member of the Hedgehog culture is Sanic. 

Also trying to generate a world where I can reform the roman republic as a cat, or viking cats/ducks.

So far really liking the Vampirates.  Started a Malestorm campaign as Noctilus and immediately fell in love with the Necrofex. 

A walking boat (just something I love) with a bundle of cannons for a hand.  That fire a fairly accurate spread at good distance, and does real damage.  Unlike some artillery and ranged in this game.  Literally blew up a lord who was running away by firing point blank down into him and removing the last 1/4 of his health in one shot.  Took a few deckhands with him but they were just cannon fodder anyway(bu-dum-tish).

Mobile artillery that does good damage, backed up by actual skirmishing ranged units (move and shoot) is just too much fun.
Add to that their main lords function like hordes that can stop in owned settlements to use local recruitment along with their own.  So you get a hybrid play style that I'm liking.

So far the new faction looks and feels good.

The problem is that it starts having an effect way before that point.  Conquer your neighbors to fast and then you finally meet someone that naturally would love you, and also naturally hated the people you took over; but because you now are so much bigger they automatically hate you and you can't even try and stem the eventual declaration of war in 6 turns after contact.  Oh well, only 250 more regions of 298 to go.

I've seen quite a few people excited for 76, for one reason or another. I've watched some gameplay and read reviews of it so far, and I'm considering buying it.

It's not perfect, and I'm not gonna pre-order or buy it at full price. I've played a lot of janky, broken, bad games and enjoyed them, so I think I'll enjoy this. It's no Fallout: New Vegas, butt it looks fun enough.
Matches my opinions quite nicely.

Add to that their previous financial troubles that ended with them firing staff and dropping development on other games so they could make AI War 2.  Only reason they are making AI War 2 (to me) is because AI 1 was their most successful game.

I still grabbed AI war 2 and will see if they "finish" it.

That DLC went from a maybe on release to a solid yes with that.  Now I have to play a game with a randomized world layout, and somehow get those conditions and sack Rome.

Whitelisted.

If anyone does hop on and wants to join/settle near me I traveled a decent distance from spawn.  Head south and go around the dark forest until you hit a river, follow that south until you hit a village and a swamp.  Head west from there and you should notice a road and some bridges.  Those will lead you right to my front door.

I've decided to host a minecraft server with a small custom tech based mod pack.  Has most of the mods you'd expect (IC2, Tinker, Thermal, ect.)  I've also added Advanced Rocketry for space exploration/exploitation and Cyberware for cybernetic shenanigans.

Server is running a whitelist.  Message me your IG name or post it here if you want to join.

Saw a mod that added air mines.  Thought "that's neat."  Looked at it and realized they were inverse bombs.  They are slow moving so they aren't a 100% counter to bombs but they are a good early game equalizer against bombers/high flyers.

I've now fought that sized fleet twice now.  Almost done, probably won't get another good fight like that again.

I just started playing with the Cataclystic expansions mod and it added a few new nations.  One is kind of crazy with it's main defense building that is... just a little to tall.

It's main ship is rocket powered and therefore very fast.  They can cover a large map stupid fast, but they are pretty frail.  Didn't stop them from taking over half the map while I built tall.

Main reason I grabbed the mod is it listed commerce modules that reduced maintenance to negatives.  Things like trade storage for ships along with farms, mines and workshops for structures.  I turtled down into my capitol and only one of my towns, covered them in oil derricks, then built a ton of light ships to take everything around me in one go, and covered them in more oil derricks.  Now I'm sending armies of 2-3 Pelican IIs from my last game out to just march and conquer as much as they can before taking to much damage.  Not even repairing most of them since I can build 2 new ones every 3 income ticks.

Soon I'll have the heavier weapons and turrets from the mod and the Pelican III will be born.  From the ashes of the broken and forgot II's left behind, a new grand army shall arise.

No the nations that are technologically equivalent with the era of steam ships and iron-clads don't have access to large amounts of aluminum, let alone titanium.

Dragonhide, magical crystals and biplanes, yes.  Metals that require advanced refining, no.

The question is what are you armoring? If it's an airship... I almost don't see a reason to doth anything but aluminum or titanium for smaller ships.
