So far they have been pretty good at tripping and losing their belly turret.  Other than that their only heavy damage has been from ships falling on them.

A keel in the open spaces in the center would be a good idea for the MkII.  Maybe some more flack guns.

Something like that, yeah.

I designed something silly and ridiculous.

Probably should have gone for width over height.  To late now 3 of these are my new front line.

This game has definitely come a ways since it was first available and is good fun even now.

Design of ships is pretty easy and straight forward but you can get into the fiddly if you want.

Like I designed a ship with the goal of being flown at max height and being able to drop bombs on everything else.  Worked great against my defense structure and land ship filled continent and I thought it would need to be retired against the rest of the world.  Nope, turns out they were running low flying ram ships or large airships with very vulnerable tops.

Or my spider tank that was the complete opposite.  Just a giant battery of upwards aimed guns backed by a similar one that was a wall of guns.  Gun wall spider charges and takes care of the ground while the AA gunner spider blows up anything in the sky.

Played a new game recently and seeing the new designs the AI is working with is giving me some great ideas (first game I lost against a neighbors fleet that consisted of a metal musket tower sitting on a blimp that my planes couldn't take down.)

When doing a quest, make sure its active by going in your log or ut wont register... stupid but eh.
This.  If you have any of the staffing missions set it will point right at the ONLY npc you can hire.  It's not a search, it's a "he's over there, go get him."

My suggestion? Get the warp drive upgrades and make a hop out to a blue star with your Indium warp drive. If you can find a planet with activated indium, each unit you mine is worth four chromatic ore. You gotta contest with extreme weather, but one visit will have you set for the stuff for a long time.

Spend an hour, load up your freighter with activated indium, smelt down a stack as you need it.
Honestly I stopped at Emril since getting 1k of it was so easy and that turns into 1.5k chromatic.  Copper is the worse for chromatic at 50%, Cadmium one is 100%, Emril is 150% and Indium is 200%.

You can also add the first two ferrite dusts to increase your output of chromatic further.
As well as there being an exploit that allows infinite chromatic metal.

Of course once I'm almost done with my current project ship I find a even better one with same stats but 10+ extra slots.  At least I finally found a good amount of uranium so I can finally get some auto miners up.

So with a freighter you can own multiple ships.  Learned that if you find another ship you want, that isn't a visitor on your freighter, you don't have to turn in your current if you have a freighter with parking space still.  So now I got a free A class fighter I found that I'm slowly gathering the things to fix it in between everything else.

I got a project ship in my mobile garage that I putter around with.  I like that, a lot.

Oooo... I was just having mass multiples of each kind of factory to produce more :D maybe not cost effective
No it isn't.  Expanding is instant to a point, then after that you'll have to wait.

You missed that he did mention time, indirectly.  Selling at more than double manufacturing cost is where your sales actually start to dip in a negative impact to revenue.  Before that you are profiting enough to cover costs.  So selling your products for less can sell more faster, but you are losing out on profit.

Of course you can go further and stretch the system as I have, on some products.  Lumber for me is paying more than the costs of everything, everything else I'm selling is a slow, steady, extreme profit.

It appears that marketing does not work for farmers markets, I can set the budget and everything, but the button to finalize the decision does not seem to work. Anybody had a similar experience?
Page or two back was reported as broke, still is.

Edit: A third has entered the lumber game and is killing my share of sales with their (way to) low of a sale price, dropped the average price from over $8 to less than $6.  If you are here, UP YOUR PRICE.  We can't even hit 00.01% of the demand yet, you can up your price and actually make decent money.  Even at my (now) skewed price my revenue share is higher than my sales share, by 6% (which is A LOT(at this level)).

Build a slab, which is a large flat road.

Any vehicle built is dumped onto neighboring slab, and most space craft support buildings need a slab next to them.

Honestly the only thing good thing the free-form non-grid construction added was a easier way to make runways.  But only marginally.

More cartons up on the b2b, if anyone wants I can run a couple K boxes and throw them up as well.

You really shouldn't be planning to rely on low cost raw materials for profit anyway.  Only reason to sell most things from most of the farms is to get a little money from excess while you make most of your money off of things you are making from them.

I could unload some of my cartons onto the b2b, in fact I'm starting a run of a couple K containers to put up there.  Also I'm selling them at 2.30 in my store, I'll put em up on b2b for less.  Even if I sold them at that price on the b2b you should still make a good profit selling the next tier good in a store.

Something another player didn't fully grasp last time I played EoS.  Didn't like the price of my bottles, thought I was gouging.  Even after I pointed out that after the cost of everything else (that he was making himself) the end good he was going for sold for 4-5 times the price of my bottles AND I was selling them on the b2b for less than half I could in a store.  But that was back in the day of old broken EoS.
