What news of reinstating keyboard controls? (I'm really struggling with the inefficiency of the mouse for large designations, plus the loss of macros)

Reading comprehension for the win.  Welp, consider it our penance for not doing this sooner, and a reminder to backup important Dorf stuff in the future.  At least a few of those were updated since he saved them, so not a total loss.  Also yes, Constructivory is a gem, despite not being Legendary (though I'm obviously biased).  I think we are close to done.  I'll make another pass at the checklist tonight and finish FB Art.  The next step will be updating the main HoL with links to all the backups and notes of which required restoration & the status thereof.  I do miss Bearskie.  He was half man, half bear, half Dwarf, half communist, and also wore a hat.  Thank you to everyone who has pitched in the not-inconsiderate time required for this project.

A Dwarf has created a tool that should (haven't tested myself yet) capture an entire thread in one go.

You take file called url_list.txt

You put each thread you want to download in the file and save it then run the script. It will backup everything there. URL conversions is a list to convert the web urls to local file locations (I didn't implement changing them on the fly, we can do that after everything is backed up)

I can get cracking on the three Museum threads tonight via the html download with images method.

Sweet!  I will not be able to acknowledge every response, but I will update our tracker as often as I can.  Museum III has been moved to 'pending'.

I did not realize DFFD could accept zips or other file formats.  Excellent then, that will do in a pinch.  I will updating all of the dead links as best I can today.  For everything that still has active pictures, I think the best option at this point is for folks to simply commit to saving a given story and letting me know so that we minimize duplicate efforts, as happened with McCreeper.

Hi everyone.  I am currently managing our beloved Hall of Legends.  Since this relates to both Adventure Mode & Fortress Mode, I thought that DF General is the best place.  It has recently come to my attention that Imgur is set for a server-wide cleanup on May 15, removing anything deemed inactive or explicit.  The pictures captured for Dwarf Fortress tend to be both old and violent.

I am calling on anyone who has time to help parse the Hall; saving pictures with a reference to a given post/legend, or if you have the hdd space, saving the webpage as a full html download with local pictures (no links).  I'll be doing what I can, but as example, some of the first Succession games are like 90 pages long.  Other Legends are hosted on personal websites or outdated forums that could go poof at a moment's notice.  Thank you for your help, lemme know if you have any questions.

This is admittedly a small inconsistency.  Right now, furniture & tools made from non-standard materials (cheese, gems, etc.) can be stockpiled like any normal item.  However, blocks can not.  Blocks made of non-standard material are limited by the current categories of a bar/block stockpile, and so will remain in the workshop until used.  I realize that needing hundreds of 'water buffalo bone blocks' is an edge case, but consistency with other stockpile items would be nice.
