Well, I made molten armor. I already had all the supplies. Skeletron still pwned me lol. I dunno how one is supposed to beat him.

My friend joined onto my world (made a multi game out of it) and he has full crimson armor and even both of us got slaughtered by skeletron.

I can beat him easily on normal, but on expert he pwns both of us.

The funny thing is, molten armor is just as I thought...still fails :P The extra defense doesn't help on expert :P

We tried a second time and I wore my mage armor again, and he kept his crimson. We took out two hands and almost his skull. As a test, I put my molten armor back on and we did much less damage. Maybe its just RNG? Or maybe the mage armor helps with damage or something I dunno. Either way, I much prefer having tons of damage and mana and all my ranged spells, as I hate getting close to mobs in games.

How the heck do you beat skeletron on expert lol. We can both beat him solo in gold armor on normal. But in high end non-hardcore gear, we just get slaughtered on expert and that is with both of us fighting him. Do you need hardmode items to beat skeletron on expert? xD

(edit:

We could just try to take on the wall flesh. Because we both have the skeleton key things from the dungeon and got a bunch of hell weapons from our singleplayer normal mode games. But the wall flesh is even harder than skeletron xD Maybe we need to just play on a normal world lol)

I don't barely use melee, so molten armor I don't plan to use. I was using Crimson armor, and that was nice with the health regen but didn't really help that much. On expert, still get owned by Skeletron...and health regen didn't help at all. And I find Crimson a LOT more useful than molten. All molten does is give melee damage and defense, and the melee damage is completely useless for me. I use ranged/magic.

Jungle armor would be the easiest to have gone for, but it looks so ugly lol. It is the ugliest armor in the game to me. I don't like green armor, green clothing, green weapons :P

So instead I went for Ancient Cobalt because it looks good and gives me tons of magic. So its pretty much either Ancient or Crimson before hardmode as far as the best equipment I can get for my play style. Except, on expert like I said, skeletron just pwns me over and over. However, Ancient, I took out a hand before he killed me and I wasn't really trying that hard...I could never do that in Crimson lol and I must have died literally 17 or 18 times before giving up. I get a lot more damage and magic to use with Ancient (which is the same as jungle, but vastly better looking).

Molten kinda looks ugly too (to me), Crimson and Ancient look a lot better.

It took so long and much grinding, but finally got ancient cobalt armor set :D I could have gone with jungle armor for the same stats...but that looks kinda ugly to me lol.

But boy was getting the ancient cobalt armor a challenge :P I ended up killing 600 wasps, 300 or so man eater plants, bunch of slimes and ended up with 7 ancient cobalt leggings (the game kept giving me leggings), 1 helmet and 1 chest piece lol.

I was about to give up too and try again another day, and then the chest piece finally dropped pretty much near the end of my game time lol.

Anyone still play this on occasion? Recently reinstalled to try out the Terminus mod

Any other good mods to try? I tried Radious but that makes the game too arcadey. I liked DEI for Rome 2 a lot more, much slower paced battles. But, I don't think there is a developed DEI-like mod for Attila yet. I do use Radious though just cause a huge unit selection, since vanilla has terrible unit variety which made me stop playing.

I just realized. For all those who play a female character in Skyrim (cause judging by nexus, that is pretty much most skyrim players lol, including me lol), and choose so in Fallout 4...

NPCs are going to say your female name you choose and that will be rather weird rofl.

Have we ever considered how much it costs to create a game at all?

The same as it did without needing paid mods.

Entire europe and middle east declare war on me only days into a massive coalition against me

That was quick game over :P Never lost so fast from just taking one province lol.

Here is a Russian Skyrim Overhaul. Its really stable, but probably needs a higher end PC (there is a lighter version inside the install though).

http://forums.goha.ru/showthread_0_0_p152523322#post152523322

It makes Skyrim A LOT more challenging, more immersive and tons more content. It has a lot of nice little touches

You'll need all DLC as a pre-warning.

It also uses lord of the rings music and other famous musics from games and other movies lol. The music is really good. And they did a great job on the sounds.

FO4 will probably be one of the most pirated PC games if there is indeed going to be paid mods lol

And actually, I'm not gonna buy mods...I'm gonna um...download "trials" of said paid mods ;) I'll still buy FO4, but no way am I gonna buy mods.

You could already download "trials" within a day of paid skyrim mods lol.

been following this thread for a while and I think I'm ready to dive in

is this something that can be enjoyed casually or will I be a 'scrub' and an easy target if I'm not min-maxing and setting 3 am alarms to optimize production queues?

This is one of the slowest paced games out there. Definitely slowest I've played. I got kinda bored cause it was so slow, but yeah...you can play really casually. Log on once a day or whatever and do stuff and then wait for things to get built etc.

want to destroy your low-end PC? Or maybe you "think" your PC is good? Well, let this ENB destroy or prove otherwise!

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67483/?

No seriously, my GTX 970 4gb...I thought it could handle any ENB...but wow is that ENB an FPS killer.

But...it looks...AMAZING. Better than Witcher 3 by far, and even better than modded Witcher 3.

My GPU barely runs it :P and in heavy areas like riverwood I barely see 30 FPS lol. Most other places I get 35-40 lol.

A drug lord (cause why the hell not?)
What mods are you using for this? I just started new game and planed to play as your typical dunmer, so assasinations and drug smuggling was planned. If I could make small hideout in solstheim and grow not!opium in there and smuggle it to riften for sale, it would make good long term plan. Maybe take over redwater den too, just because.

Its this mod

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65259/?

And I'll just post the link to my compilation

https://mega.co.nz/#!bxMHzS7D!XDfuVjn2WE9dwkjckz-wBnNh8QGWQpSas7xj9_xyjO8

and import the load order through mod manager or organizer may work too

https://mega.co.nz/#!bw0HhCIQ!PQbpQLr_7pCSE2v40EkqH18O3DEh5eze3LkjPSoxlMg

Should be the correct load order. Might be missing some mods though, don't remember...should still work.

Download with Firefox however, not chrome or internet explorer. I tried uploading and downloading large files on chrome on that site and it broke (download froze) and was super slow. But, expect a huge download (nearly 38 gb 7zip file).

The only thing I haven't uploaded, is the optional patches/mods. Like I switched bodies since the body for females in the upload are kinda buggy (too many seams). And I have different music added in the optional download.

But I won't be able to upload that till next month sadly. I'm already nearly at my bandwidth limit and its not even toward the end of the month. But the mod itself that I linked, works great from the 40-50 hours or so of my character. It definitely takes a higher end PC, but should work on mid-end if you turn off ENB effects.

So in the mod, the regular version has kinda bugged body/textures. It works, but it isn't that great. And I'm not re-uploading it all again.

So in a patch, are 4k body/head textures, and optional 8k head textures. They look amazing, but not playable on a low or medium end PC. The 8k textures I tried, but going back to 4k as the 8k is too much on my system. I'm running out of video memory on the 8k textures. 4k fine, 8k not. But, also included is lower resolution body textures (SG body textures, still look nice and work with body mod installed) for not as good PCs (except the compilation is gonna be hard if not impossible to run on low-end PCs.). Its still higher resolution than the vanilla textures and work with the included body mod.

System specs:

Geforce GTX 970 4gb factory overclocked (I get 30-40 FPS on average with ENB in exteriors, 45-60 average without ENB. With 8k head textures, I can't even play properly in interiors without textures going missing and weird things happen.)

Windows 7 64bit (I'll be upgrading to Windows 10 when that is available)

8 gig DDR3 ram

i5 660 CPU 3.3 Ghz

No SSD (just a regular hard drive)
