DF Suggestions / Re: Unusual animal behavior before fb invasion

I think this would be a very cool addition once things like bird behavior gets a bit more complex. I like the idea. Not sure if its been suggested before though.

DF Suggestions / Re: More Lifelong Dreams

I like this idea. I would also like there to be dream professions for the dwarves.

I understand why winning a siege should result in a morale boost, but generally speaking, losing one results in death, death results in unhappy thoughts. So technically, losing a siege DOES lower morale... just sort of indirectly.

DF Suggestions / Re: Crude products
« on: January 14, 2015, 03:34:20 am »
this has been suggested before and in one df talk toady mentioned how novice carpenters and the like should not be able to make good products and should have things like wobbly tables etc.

Its for your own safety.

With the newly implemented one square large embarks, why can you not choose the exact parameters of the map?

Im fairly certain that this is something that will come up once taverns are fully implemented.

Did someone say tools?

No but shameless self advertisement aside, I like the template idea. I feel it would ad a lot of options. Though one thing to note is that steel is kindof an innovation as well. So would you also allow dwarves to innovate new metals, submetals and so on?

Also, since the thread was originally about moods, what about moods where the dwarf sets off on a quest and maybe comes back later with some cool new stuff, like a new weapon, or new knowledge etc?

56
Because elves are one of the most intelligent, most advanced, most menacing, most sophisticated(this last part may actually be true XD) race in the entirety of DF right next to cave Gorlaks.

Speaking of which, who do elves no longer send their tree priest guy at me to complain about how many trees I've cut?

The ones who aren't either too cowardly to enter the afterlife or too angry to let go of their past life don't come back as ghosts

How many yak hair zombies are needed to train discipline fastest?
The yak hair zombies must be proportional to the amount of Dwarf beard hair non-zombies you are willing to train.

Why do necromancers even bother visiting if they are just gona sightsee?

DF Suggestions / Re: Dwarves should eat/drink about 10x more at a time

Would having a flowing source of water nearby count as revitalizing for the soil?
I'd think only if you used it to flood the nearby land. Like the Nile.
So basically irrigation...
Though I don't really see mushrooms as needing water channels.

59
As for ease of implementation, I'm 85% certain that these new buildings, reactions, designations and such will be a good deal simpler than giving dwarves 119 emotions.

ok point taken.

Side thought: if it did, how cool would it be for there to be a soil type that needs a flowing source of magma nearby. XD
