Thats why I like my way, if we make a sound or are unable to hit a sentry we just call it off then try your way instead during the day. My way is less likely to get any of us killed if it goes wrong.

The man we just met with just said we don't have to attack in the day, we can attack at night. Why not try stealth first then if we're unable to make it work your plan is still perfectly viable.

Why bother with that at all? He has 30 largely untrained and poorly equipped men.

Just wait till dark then approach 1 side, snipe his sentries and climb the walls. Spread out to take out the other sentries then kill the rest while they sleep. May as well try stealth before we launch a direct attack.
We could also march around for a day or two so he thinks we're going to want to talk as suggested before a night attack so he's completely off guard.

Now, your here because frankly I'm sick of the Viceroy and I'm sure your all sick of his pet enforcers and the traitors getting in your way and killing your men. So we need to work together then we can persuade them politely or at gunpoint to stay out of our business.
You have men and access to guns, I have money and friends working towards the same goal as us.

I'd say it's about time that we give the Viceroy a stomach ache.

True but unless the person commanding the defense is stupid he won't move his sentries and your main force will be seen long before it reches the walls and be cut to pieces climbing it.

Uhm ask them how? They'll shoot us if we get close enough and I don't think our allies are deaf. Besides we're honorable people we aren't going to sell out the people who hired us. Nobody would ever hire us ever again if they found out that we'll betray them.

Those I trust I won't hide it from and when the time comes, I'll gladly risk the Viceroys displeasure to stand against him openly. One of us can not hide his identity and stay in the shadows and my skills will be more useful in the open where I can interact with the most people.

As for informants, these mutterings are rife throughout the kingdom, by the time he believes us to be any more dangerous then any of the thousands of others who speak as we do it will not matter any more.

"My associates already know my name as do more then a few of those working for them, using a different name will make no difference in my case if they decide to sell me out then they will. The same is true for many other middle or upper class people. Changing name now would make no difference to me. I'll simply have to be careful to avoid being implicated. Easy enough since it's well known I have dealings with criminals already.

If the Viceroy had an issue with it then he would have already had me taken. By the time it becomes anything important enough for him to step in we will all be discovered anyway false names or not. I won't hide who I am from people who are willing to risk there lives for our cause.
