It'd be especially funny for weapon lords, since stunned things can't dodge and temporarily lose the ability to avoid traps (I think). "Hah! Your masterwork steel axe weapon traps may have killed my entire squad, but I can still climb up your walls!"

Urist McWeaponTrapDesigner: "As you can see here, weapon lords dodge weapon traps most of the time. Our typical approach is to trap them in cages. However, ones that become exhausted can't dodge, and climbing tires anything that can tire, so this design should kill ALL OF THE GOBLINS. Also elves. It also has a backup system to spew magma everywhere and kill everything."

Well, my current adventurer is a Dwarven Striker, who, due to mountains, has to traverse across a wide mountain range to get to where things actually happen. So far so good. Only injuries are self-imposed by falling, and none are truly severe (damage to my liver, but eh).

Yeah, it's better to at least train some after generation, unless you started off as a Demigod and set the stuff the wiki said to in the tutorial, which makes you start off with Superior strength and three other physical stats at High, letting you still be an epic vampire.
Also, a way to stat grind that only really works with inorganic, pain-free, no-thought-center, no-arteries, no-breathing creatures, is to let yourself get mobbed by TONS of undead for tons of in-game turns. It boosts Spatial Sense and Kinesthetic Sense at an above-average rate - in around one in-game hour, my adventurer went from average to above average, and not long after went to the one above that, which I'm 50% sure is High.
I did, however, lose a lot of fingers and toes and my nose.

Also, I doubt climbing invaders can climb over any overhangs, making using floors stretching out over your main wall a viable strategy.

I hope they eventually tire and fall off or something, otherwise you're going to have a bunch of goblins perched up under your ramparts. Seems like they'd be hard to reach.

I'd assume climbers would either not path if climbing is useless or get exhausted from "combat" over time and climb down/fall off.
Then again, I'm not Toady One, so who knows what climbers do.

Blood for the blood god! Swords for the sword throne!

This time it couldn't be prevented and wasn't actually wanted. The guy revealed a goblin ambush squad and got macerated in the head with a mace, after being shot in the leg with an arrow. He was running away fine until they forced him to crawl.
But yeah, prepare for a war again. But this time they should be weakened from the previous war.

Even though she survived the beast sickness (the one with the pus, fever, and rotting lungs), a guard dog is still a great idea.
Yes, she was hit with the beast sickness.
Yes, she's one of the ones harvesting food.
Yes, it's totally safe.
No, you don't have the beast sickness.
No, your lungs are fi-
(pus explosion)
I stand corrected.

Why do none of these appear in the arena?

I can't find anything wrong with them. They're built for a 1/10th-size hydra with only five heads.

Okay.
I miss this fort.
It's not nearly as bad on the FPS front as Demongate.

763
I lost count of how many people I killed during my turn.
Was it 10? 12? 15?

Don't go after bandits, go after night creatures and wild animals first.

Most of the night creatures I get sent to need copper and bronze and steel to kill, while I have a crappy silver spear.
If it's a werebeast, you can still kill it. Most likely they'll be in human form when you encounter them, and thus be weak. I don't recall ever needing a specific type of metal to kill them in werebeast form, though, despite what townsfolk say.
From experience, I can safely say that the metals that don't injure it more do less damage but can totally kill them; something weak to copper can be (slowly) cut to death with a silver short sword, although if your weapon is sharp and made of silver, use blunt and stab attacks.
Protip: Stabbing works when slashing doesn't.

Oh, and on the off chance FallenAngel II dies, choose a random male non-soldier, name him FallenAngel III, and give him the custom title Legendary Bodysurfer. Keep doing that if I die for the third time.
