agreed, even dropping a link to this thread over there might be helpful.

What kind of adamantium weapons? Gotta be sharp stuff, like swords. Blunt weapons made of adamantium are useless for combat (which is why folks like to use them for hammerdwarfs - so punishments are not lethal)

Still I feel like something is "wrong", if you can just mine for gold and print your own money to eventually buy stuff with that.
That is exactly how it was in RL history. Or, if you like a fantasy example, how the Lannisters got so rich.

Yep. This (commodity) is exactly the way money works before development of a fiat currency.

I -think- I've heard of this. Getting your hands on an actual plant (instead of a seed) will snap them out of it and allow you to handle the seeds. You can use dfhack for that, I think this might help: http://mkv25.net/dfma/movie-2619-wishingwithdfhack

Late first winter:  Oh look a thunderbird shows up!  I have 2 military dwarves in green glass armor and weapons, but I think we can manage one bird.  I'll post them on the edge of the hole that is my fortress at the moment and have them wait for the birdie.

The thunderbird decides to go chasing after the only thing on the map faster than it, a moleweasel kit.  Finally it gets bored, I check to see where it is so I can reposition my mighty warriors to block it off as it starts to head for the fortress...  Where are they?  Oh look, they both got bored and decided to go to sleep.

The bird kills both tuskoxen, both mastiffs (so all my defensive animals) and is idly chewing on my ward of armok, looking around for some dwarves to eat when my sworddorf finally wakes up and walks up to it, chopping off its head.

"Alarm" would have saved the day ;)

In theory any font from any tileset can be used, people just have to replace the font.png. Fricy just posted 3 nice sets, so I could include them and ask Splinterz to add a font.png option to the GUI.

Here: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=138754.msg5420949#msg5420949

Just download one, rename to font.png and move to data/art. And let me know how it goes. :)

I have to go with the "i don't like it" camp - I prefer the original font. Actually, my real preference would be DejaVu Sans, but I have no idea how to build a font.png. I'd love to find out how to do so (with arbitrary TTFs).

Sounds like you've got Windows-encoded text files in the scripts... those extra ^Ms are breaking stuff. This may help.

Are the traps in an area considered "outside?" If so you may have the policy set to prohibit gathering of refuse outside.

I think this was inadvertently fixed - I've yet to have this crash with 5.10, with all civs enabled. Anyone else?

I wonder of the raw cleanup might have helped?

Yea, but what you see in Git is not necessarily a release.

Now, meph, if you'd be so kind as to include commit IDs in the release threads, we could use -that- to pull it via git ;)

That would work. Torrent's not a bad option though :P

I love it when they don't disclose things like that :( (ouch on that bandwidth btw, that alone would cost you over $100/month with EC2 - just bandwidth!)

Well, torrent distribution is an option to lighten the load. If you're getting that many downloads, it's a serious one, too. Check out http://openbittorrent.com for a tracker. Very much no maintenance, there.

EDIT: let me know if you need/want any help seeding at first, if you go that route. I've got a dedi I can throw at the purpose for a while.

Meph, your account got squished!

"This account's public links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!"

Do we have any alternatives to get updates?

for the easily repeatable. Is there a safe way to spawn magma for the forges? or would i have to use a one shot, to keep the beard from getting incinerated?

Sounds like a good use for a noble. Is this something one of them could be bothered to activate?
