quite a few of the steps in the tutorial no longer work in the latest version...for example, you can't smelt without finding "Refined Coal" first. Here's hoping you can actually find some and aren't in a coal-free zone.

I downloaded the game today along with the tutorial (and the old version so I could run the tutorial) - once I loaded into the new version, I found a couple of problems I haven't been able to figure out:

1: You can't always select dig areas with the mouse anymore. It appears to work in some areas of the screen but not in others.
2: (IMPORTANT) Holding down alt and using the arrow keys appears to no longer be the method of scrolling up and down in menus. I haven't been able to find any hotkeys that WILL scroll up and down in the menus, which means I cannot access the help files, grow any crop but the first one in the list for each season, or do anything that requires scrolling in a submenu.

While running the tutorials, I noticed that you can build walls on top of other walls, so long as you make sure to leave your dwarves a way of getting off the wall.

You can do this by undercutting the slope (digging out past where the slopes are in the place you're building your new wall) and building the wall double thick for a few squares at the edge. Then when you build your wall on the upslope side, build the wall out onto the lower wall a square or two, making sure to leave the extra space on the inner side so your builders can walk back onto the ledge after placing the upper section.

Where would I find the artwork tilesets for the new version? Just downloaded the game today, and have been running the tutorials, but I am infamiliar with how to find and load the art sets into the new version.

Also, in the new version, there must be some new way to move around in the menus for things like farming, because alt and the up and down arrows works in the old version that came with the tutorial, but NOT in the new version of the game.
