K, I can agree with that, do I just edit my action so FFS knows or what?

Cherish: Give magnetic heel to Al

Al: Cast magnetic heel, run up the robot and bash ECCO's cockpit in
-1. Ecco is still a potential ally.
Good point. Here is an improved version of my previous plan

Cherish: Give magnetic heel to Al

Al: Cast magnetic heel, run up the robot and thoroughly destroy the window in ECCO's cockpit

Ciro: try to knock ECCO out of her cockpit using windirection

Riltia: grab her, I guess?

I don't know wether or not this counts as a double post but, Goombess, scan the robot thing with the eye

Well anyway after looking at the robot, it seems like there is absoloutly no way that it can shoot lasers, so that's a nice thing.

EDIT: ignore this plan, better plan in a later post.

Anyways I have an idea Al put your soul star into whip form then try to use it to tie the robots legs together

The whip is very long and the robot legs are not that far apart.
For reference, this is how far the whip can stretch compared to how far apart the robots legs are
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Alternative plan: give the Rilitia the whip, have her see whether or not she can yank out one of the legs with her DUMB FIGHTER STRENGTH

I vote for the one involving Al, you guys can vote for the other one if you think it's better.

Anyway I just read this whole thread from start to finish in the course of 5 days and I just want to say congrats for getting this far.

Spirit class: living shadow

Anyway I say -1 to the fan.

With the scroll I see 2 possibilities:

1)The scroll was given to us with good intentions and it actually will give us ultimate power.

2) same as above but not ultra power but instead small permanent benefit

2b) temporary benefit

3) Actually a bad thing permanent debuff

3b) bad one time effect (take # points of damage, teleports you away from everyone, loss of inventory item etc.)

3c) bad temporary debuff (remember the scroll of stupidity?)

4) Gives us a new quest somehow.

What do you guys think?

EDIT:Ask ECCO where she got the scroll of ultimate power from and ask why she didn't use it on herself.

sure. I was just thinking about all of the humanoid giants that I needed to make possible to turn into a praetorian and frost giants were humanoid giants so I began working on that.

Anyways did some testing, and gave the larvae age limits, i spawned the larvae directly though. When I spawned them they were spawned as 15 years old but they didn't die of old age. maybe I needed to wait a year and then they would die?

Ah well doesn't matter since the maxxage stuff only concerns larvae which you already solved

ok, i think i calculated the bleeding syndrome right. an elf sized creature should always survive, a wolf should sometimes survive and a gnome should die most of the times. further tweaking may be necessary, but for the time being it will do.

Did you try making the syndrome LOCALIZED yet?

in the beginning, they could only dent a human's skin. obviously this was bad, so i raised their strength and skill so they could at least penetrate. the syndrome is still too potent, i've got a lot more work to do on that one.
That is very strange, when i did my tests they could penetrate human skin perfectly fine. Are you sure your new tooth material that is supposed to be stronger against frostgiants wasn't actually too weak. Also I made my larva teeth out of lamellar leather, it was the closest I could find to organic iron. (I was too lazy to create my own material). Don't raise strength and skill, just make the material stronger.

but there is another problem: the transformation syndrome may or may not be overpowered if used on a battle. all it takes is one bite and the foe not only eventually dies, but you also gain a free member.
What happens is that at the current moment, it should take months for a victim to hatch, it also usually takes 2 larvae to get off a single bite on a conscious humanoid, also when a larva bites the victim the victim gains a single use interaction that kills the larva that bit it, so although yes you would be able to oneshot anything it bit (either very quickly if it's too small or after many months if it's large enough) it is usually not worth it since you only gain 8 larva per year.

But now that I'm thinking of the forgotten beasts, I realize that i still haven't nerfed the larva's dodging yet, just decrease agility like you increased strength.
we should give maggots a really short life span to make it impossible (or forbiddingly impractical) to gather them in large numbers
I thought I did, I remember adding maxxage:1:2 at some point but now looking at my raws I can't seem to find it at all. Must have removed it by accident

by the way, as it is now maggots are immortal and i found an INTELLIGENT tag on one of them.
I at one point wanting to test the maggots I made them playable as a civ. Please remove it now, thanks for catching that artifact.

a)how long do you think maggots should live?
b) is it true that when using spawn unit the creature spawned is always 15 years old? i've noticed it on spawned sentients, but is it always the case? if so, i must adapt the lifespans accordingly. it will also solve the bug of wasps dying from old age when transformed.
a) well I think one or 2 years
b) They will be spawned as the minimum age required for adulthood, so that means they should spawn as one year olds since you have CHILD:1

Than also I realized something, I forgot to tell you to delete all of my old reproduction files, they are a bit outdated, have a few bugs, are not meant to be merged with the new raws. It might be responsible for some of the bugs you are encountering.

As in the ones from this post (click on the link)
just search the raws to find the text referencing them and delete them.

Also there is currently no incentive to sacrifice a drone to create workers, since drones can perform labours just as well as workers, the only thing there is so far at the current moment is that making workers has a small chance of creating a soldier instead.

I can deal with that part, don't worry

so basically what happens is that when the larva bites a victim, it gives the victim the a syndrome that gives it the ability to use 2 interactions. The first one is a single-use interaction that transforms the larvae into an instadying larvae that leaves no corpse. The second Interaction becomes available after a few months which transforms the victim into a wasp.

The amount of blood that an animal has is directly correlated to it's size. What we are trying to do is to make a localized bleeding syndrome with a certain SEV value so that animals that are the size of weasels bleed out before they can hatch into wasps, while animals the size of elfs (I personally prefer wolves or kobolds) bleed for a bit but then the bleeding part of the syndrome wears out and so they are temporarily mostly healthy until they hatch.

also elves are larger than kobolds. What this means is that if your size limit is elf size then kobolds wouldn't be able to be used as hosts. Could be an in lore reason for why kobolds are the wasps only trading partners though.

Although you can get around this by making the bleeding component a separate syndrome in the same material and then making the Civ creatures immune to it.

Also here are the sizes that of the creatures that you would have to experiment with:

Dwarf/elf:60,000 (this is how large they are at 12)

Human:70,000  (once again at 12)

kobold:20,000  (still 12)

wolf: 40,000 (when it is 2)

good luck

sure, you can do that. Make the teeth as strong as iron (without multipliers) naturally though.
