Well I had a busy weekend unfortunately so I wasn't able to work on the sprites. Sorry about that.

But I would say no, there isn't anything else you can do now. Sorry .

We just have to wait till I finish the sprites.

They won't raise the skeleton of a creature that has the nobones tag. And the lobster god has to have nobones since lobsters don't have bones, only an exoskeleton.

i prefer 5. and if you though the earth elemental's sprite needs improvements, just wait for the lobster one :D i tried my best, but lobsters are not easy to draw on sprite.

Well at least you don't have to draw a skeletal one.

Like the idea, it would give some flavour to the game. However I think that "comedian" (a dwarf making jokes??) sounds out of time and place talking in a fantastic pre-industrial world setting. (In that case bard sounds much better fitting.)

Jokes have actually been around for a very long time actually. Many of them were puns though

Well technically. since the AI is stupid they will occasionally target it anyway. You'd only need to worry about it not being target-able in adventure mode (by the player), but then again the player should be smart enough to know that the fleshy bottom is the weakspot rather than the stony top.

Also boltgun, I cannabalized your code in the process of making this script although it seems like you designed your makeown script to be able to be expanded into other races, so props for you. Anyways sorry for using your code without asking first.

Draw as a png, no background.
I recommend GIMP and starting by simple pets, your basic citizens (peasant, baby, child) will take you a lot of time.
Well Boltgun, actually I'm drawing the basic citizens. I'm doing a fairly good job at it though. It's just that in order to speed up the process than is drawing a few other sprites. Than is actually drawing wasp "gods". They are summonable creatures that are so powerful that the wasps lore-wise worship them as god's. Here's a list:

Saving in gimp will make a xcf file you should keep for working on, then saving in png is done with File > export. Don't worry about the options it produces.
So why use GIMP? Isn't paint good enough?

Save it as a PNG. Also drawing in a 16 by 16 resolotion is actually pretty difficult which is why I mentioned that 16 by 16 isn't mandatory.

Goodluck. I would start with the earth elemental.

Also don't be afraid to copy and paste other sprites just to modify them. (such as copying and pasting a rhino so you can make it a tarrasque)
