Personal ideas : Most elves should refuse to live underground, or sleep in a stone room. Only the most opposed to traditional ethics and values (some dwarves are like that, right?) could accept this.
Thus if we want elves we will have to keep a secured zone outside.

For humans, I think they could bear living underground but it should strongly reduce their morale. At least until something is done with lights. Enough light should prevent this.

In an other type of ideas, I think elves and dwarves should have different night visions (dwarves would be very efficient at seeing in the dark, allowing mining in completely dark places; elves can only discern shadows and movement much better than humans and dwarves).

Anyway I think it's a good idea to have real differences between races.
Seeing in darkness: dwarves>kobolds>goblins>elves>humans

Elves could refuse to live in structures, and probably wouldn't even move to you, but if they did they would probably sleep in above ground trees

This makes me think of the new horrified system. I think a new personality trait should be made for it so we don't get very long term tantrum spirals we can't get out of just because there's a severed hand somewhere.

Any dwarf coming into the hospital to drop off some cow hair could get stunned and vomit if there's an open corpse being examined.

This also opens up the potential for mummification.
I could use a mummy for my death pit

if dwarves enslave you, dwarves would execute the slavers and free you, since in dwarf land slavery is an offense worthy of death. Most elves would avoid becoming slavers since elves shun slavers.

i had a dwarf survive a 5 hammer strike sentence, with the help of a hospital, make your hammerer have a candy hammer if possible, if not give him copper, make SURE the hammerer doesn't have any hammer skill
Definitely don't do this.  Even a copper warhammer is lethal to an unarmored dwarf.  Give the hammerer and fortress guard wooden crossbows instead.
1. it was a steel war hammer he survived
2. i had my fortress guard have training weapons but all they did was punch him. The guard was off duty though

I keep getting this "rain" fetid slime that horrifies my dwarves im living in a haunted biome im just wondering if there is a way to find out what exactly this slime is as its starting to cover things and giving me horrified spam
It sounds like you got one of the pretty tame evil biomes.
The easiest evil weather just causes bad thoughts in your dwarves when they're caught in it.
The worst will zombify them.

only clouds zombify, clouds are MUCH worse

First add these lines to the end of "entity_default.txt" to make them playable:

The raws for all megabeasts are in "creature_standard.txt". Some tags you might need to add:
[INTELLIGENT]    (same as [CAN_LEARN] + [CAN_SPEAK])
[CANOPENDOORS]
[EQUIPS]

Lastly, you'll need to modify the non-humanoid megabeasts to be able to grasp. For dragons, simply replace "QUADRUPED_NECK" with "QUADRUPED_NECK_FRONT_GRASP". Hydrae and rocs are more difficult, requiring new body types to be defined.

Now, if I didn't screw up in some way, we should have non-humanoid megabeasts that can hold tools (for the purpose of butchering in order to eat.)

Today I Learned: Bird torsos are considered "armless humanoid". I am now imagining all birds having feathery 4-toed human feet with talons on the end.
