This seems like it'd be really good for the makings of a succession game in some way. IDK how, but if someone could figure it out it could have potential.

The goblins an elves must be aligning. The elves are dropping trees on our faces, and the goblins realized that them invading just gave us goblinite. We are doomed.

Wow, I didn't know they made laptop keyboards without a function numpad.

If you press the function key and press j,k,l,; or ', does it do anything?

My keyboard doesn't have it either, it's really weird and really stupid. Makes it difficult to do a great deal of things.luckily with DF Adventure mode timing doesn't really matter, so I just use the numbers at the top. Here's me pressing function plus what you said:

You DO have a function key though, it should be used for many things :).

Yeah, the only useful thing I can really do with the function key though is change the volume and brightness.

just a thought, maybe we could mark the location of cerol and future kings on the map in the op.  going to the unretire screen doesn't give you a high degree of accuracy as to the retired adventurer's location
That's a good idea. I'll figure it out as soon as I can.

Wagons can't go over traps. You're not getting the wagons. You might be getting the traders, but no wagons. The Depot may be "accessible" but wagons can't get to it. Watch when the Dwarves/Humans come. They won't bring a wagon to the Depot.

Also, the way I learned how to play DF was through Quill18. He doesn't have many LPs, and he definitely isn't the best at the game, but he is pretty good at teaching the basics.

That would require a lot of rebinding. z is status, s is stand, S is sneak/run/stuff, etc.

Make sure the file is called creature_metahuman. I know that this is like the automatic response, but it seems to be the reason for a lot of problems.

Creatures: goblins, dwarves, humans and elves have the same body size, so armor size conflicts are gone..

That might kill it for me. That changes combat with them a lot. Is there an easy way to change this back?

Oh no that wasn't me that died of old age, that was someone else in the town. I drowned in the first river while trying to train swimming.

I gotta say though, that would've been hilarious if I had.

Also, I'm not making a fortress. My forts never turn out well, and I've got the creativity of a rock Ralthar.
