DF Suggestions / No automatic reload after firing
« on: March 13, 2016, 01:55:30 pm »
I've lost count of lost heroes who tried to use bows and crossbows in a battle. I just wanted to make a single shot and then to start chopping enemies with a short-range weapon, so I didnt intend to reload a ranged weapon after making a shot. But the reloading process took place regardless of my following intensions. My suggestion is: could you make reloading optional or a separate command?

DF Gameplay Questions / Lesbians???
« on: August 21, 2014, 05:14:35 am »
Alright. I have a female carpenter and a female fisherdwarf who are actually in love with each other. Is it common in DF? I am a keen dwarfer but it's the first time I have something like that. Where can such relationships lead? Will they marry eventually? Can male dwarfs come out as gays as well? This game never stops surprising me!

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Need to put out the fire
« on: June 04, 2014, 08:55:13 am »
I came across a shrine where I encountered a titan with the power to shoot fire. First thing I fired an arrow to his leg making him fall over but he managed to throw a fireball making me melt. I came up to him and stroke him down with a headbutt to his head (I play Genesis mod). So I was moving away from that place when I lost an ability to move at all. And here I am, standing at the end of the, shrine melting and trying to do something. Is there a way to put the fire out or I have to die in the beginning of my heroic career?

DF General Discussion / World progress after the world gen?
« on: June 01, 2014, 09:40:10 am »
Hey guys! I have been playing DF for hell of a time but there is something that I failed to get. As the title says I try to figure out if a world stops in it's progress right after it's been generated. I mean characters stop giving birth to babies, outlaws don't organize camps anymore etc. Is it true or there is any world progress during the actual gameplay? If so, is there any mod or patch making it possible?
